In light of all the controversy surrounding the Cruz Colorado voterless win. We find that Trump would have won Colorado quite easily. If a Republican Presidential Primary Election were to take place in Colorado, 44% of likely voters would vote for Donald Trump, 34% support Ted Cruz, 17% support John Kasich and 5% are undecided. When asked to choose between only Ted Cruz or Donald Trump, 48% support Trump and 42% support Cruz, and 10% are undecided. These results are interesting in light of the results at the Republican State Convention where Ted Cruz won all 34 delegates awarded. What...

A New Jersey administrative law judge on Monday heard two challenges to GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz's eligibility to appear on the New Jersey ballot, based upon the Texas senator's birthplace in Canada. The judge, Jeff Masin, didn't decide the challenges to Cruz's eligibility to appear on the June 7 primary ballot, but said he would issue a decision Tuesday. The decision is expected to be reviewed by Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, who is New Jersey's secretary of state. One of the challenges was brought by three South Jersey citizens, and the other by a law professor who lives in...

Ted Cruz risks primary disqualification in New Jersey resulting from charges of ballot access fraud. A primary ballot disqualification hearing is scheduled by the Secretary of State for Monday, April 11 at 9:00 a.m. in Mercerville, New Jersey. Washington D.C. Law Professor Victor Williams charges that Ted Cruz fraudulently certified his constitutional eligibility for office to gain ballot access. Williams demands that Cruz be disqualified from several late-primary ballots: "Cruz committed ballot access fraud in each state when he falsely swore that he was a 'natural born' American citizen." Cruz was born in Calgary, Canada and held his resulting Canadian...

The overload factor may be high, but the answer to my title-question is all of the above and more. 1) "More" includes Jeb Bush's endorsement of Ted Cruz this week, making official the merger between Bush, Inc. and the Cruz campaign, which began when the core of the Jeb Bush campaign finance committee, including the tainted Neil Bush (also globalist Boyden Gray) moved over to Team Cruz. Cruz supporters, from Rush Limbaugh (undeclared) to Kellyanne Conway, explain this as proof of how "True Conservative" Cruz has co-opted GOPe. I don't think so. If that were so, why, as the Texas...

In an attempt understand the allegation that Cruz paid "hush money" to Sarah Flores via Carly Fiorina I've researched filings available on the FEC website. The research is not 100% complete but I think there's enough to say "maybe", meaning it's not out of the question. There's enough here to warrant further investigation. I'll try to provide updates, motivation and time permitting. - - - Claim: The ($500K, excerpted) money from the Fiorina campaign was laundered through a company called MLJ Consulting. Nearly half of the money spent on ads, over $251,795, was paid to MLJ Consulting. On top of...

The news report goes back in time documenting US history of international trade agreements starting from the time of Reagan administration who proposed a North American Common Market to current history. Fast Forward to November of 2004 when the Independent Task Force on the Future of North America is formed. Their focus is no longer trade and prosperity but security. Three private groups headed by the Council of Foreign Relations(CFR) and their respected organizations in Canada and Mexico. They claim in their own words North America is vulnerable on several fronts: the region faces criminal and terrorist security threats, increased...

Who is Heidi Cruz. She is one interesting lawyer! Did you know that she sat on a Council on Foreign Relations task force for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)? Yes right up until 2011 when Ted announced he was running for the Senate! WHY do you people think our Government won’t secure our border? Do you think it is Incompetence? Ignorance? Is it to destroy the nation? Well a lot can be said about all of those at this point but lets just say the SPP (Security and Prosperity Partnership) CFR and that sweet little task force has...

The Republican Party needs candidates to stay in the presidential race in order to force a brokered convention and deny front-runner Donald Trump the nomination, a former senior aide to President George W. Bush said Friday. That strategy will surely alienate some of Trump's supporters, said Sara Fagen, now a partner at public affairs firm DDC. But while Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who trails Trump in the delegate count, would have a tough time against Hillary Clinton in a general election, he would keep the core of the party together, she added. "Donald Trump fundamentally breaks the Republican Party, and...

A judge in Illinois on Friday will hear a lawsuit challenging Ted Cruz's eligibility to serve as president, putting questions about the Texas senator's status back into the news the day before the South Carolina primary. Lawrence Joyce, an Illinois voter who has objected to Cruz's placement on the Illinois primary ballot next month, will have his case heard in the Circuit Court of Cook County in Chicago. Joyce's previous objection, made to the state's Board of Elections, was dismissed on February 1. Once again, Cruz will have to defend his eligibility to serve as president after Donald Trump...

A Republican National committeewoman from Nevada just proposed that not only is Cruz not eligible to be president, but GOP rival Marco Rubio isn't either. Cruz's Canadian birthplace has been dragged through the press relentlessly over the last few weeks, but Rubio's birth to immigrant parents hasn't been discussed as much. Enter Diana Orrock, who not only serves the RNC, but is running for the Nevada state assembly. She tweeted a link to an article by Devvy Kidd on conservative website News With Views. Kidd contends that because Rubio's parents were born elsewhere and weren't naturalized as citizens until he...

Donald Trump supporters have filed a lawsuit challenging the eligibility of one of his primary rivals, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), to run for president. The lawsuit, filed Feb. 3 at a district court in Alabama, seeks a judgment "declaring that Rafael Edward Cruz is ineligible to qualify/run/seek and be elected to the Office of the President of the United States of America" due to his Canadian birth. Cruz was born in Calgary, Canada, to an American mother. The five plaintiffs — Sebastian Green, Shannon Duncan, Kathryn Spears, Kyle Spears and Jerry Parker — are all backing Trump in the Republican...

Oh Oh... There's a clean question on the table regarding dual citizenship for persons born in Canada prior to 1977 (when they changed their law to officially recognize dual nationality.) Prior to that date, with few exceptions, you could not hold dual nationality with Canada. In other words the very act of "renouncing" Canadian Citizenship means that Cruz never held US citizenship at birth because his parents had to declare his nationality at the time he was born. There may be exceptions that were available at the time but the law now is immaterial. The only material fact is what...

The words natural born citizen, and their original meaning at the time that this constitutional clause was crafted, go a long way to answering this question. In founding-era America, like today, a person could be a citizen by virtue of birth on American territory; a citizen by virtue of a statute that granted citizenship to him at birth; a "naturalized" citizen, meaning one who entered the country as an alien but later obtained citizenship via a process determined by law; and a foreigner. A natural born citizen cannot be a foreigner. Foreigners are not citizens. A natural born citizen cannot...

The local GOP isn't choosing sides on whether U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is qualified to seek his party's presidential nomination -- at least, not right now. Why's that important? Because, according to a Friday report at al.com, a handful of Cullman County residents has filed a federal lawsuit alleging that Cruz, by virtue of his Canadian birth to a mother who is a U.S. citizen, is not a "natural born" U.S. citizen and is, therefore, not legally qualified to run for the presidency. The suit, a copy of which al.com said it received Friday from the Drake Law Firm...

BOSTON (AP) — Two legal scholars squared off in a public debate on Friday to settle whether Republican Ted Cruz is eligible to become president. Spoiler alert: They didn't settle it.

But the debate at Harvard Law School underscored that conflicting interpretations of the U.S. Constitution can produce different answers. The question has been in the national spotlight since Republican rival Donald Trump suggested that Cruz, who was born in Canada to an American mother, isn't legally qualified to be president.
