The company providing security to Super Bowl Live, a nightly fan event in Minneapolis connected to Sunday’s NFL championship game, has been replaced because of insufficient background checks on its employees, according to a published report. EPG Security Group, based in Minneapolis, had been left shorthanded after several of its employees were “yanked away” by federal authorities, a Minneapolis police lieutenant told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. One security guard on duty at the event turned out to be a convicted felon, Lt. Bob Kroll told the newspaper, and then federal agents “did checks on other guys." The Super Bowl Host Committee...

In a conversation with Charles Murray, Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol explains his solution to the problems of the white working class: replacement. "Look, to be totally honest, if things are so bad as you say with the white working class, don’t you want to get new Americans in?" After making the remark, Dr. Kristol joked, "I hope this thing isn’t being videotaped or ever shown anywhere. Whatever tiny, pathetic future I have is going to totally collapse." The conversation took place February 7, 2017 at an American Enterprise Institute event called "It Came Apart: What's Next...

SANFORD, Fla. - A Santa Claus at Seminole Towne Center in Sanford has been removed from his duties after an Oviedo woman claimed that he told her child Hillary Clinton was on his naughty list. The mother told Towne Center management the incident happened Tuesday night when she brought two of her children to see Santa. She said when her 10-year-old daughter told him what she wanted for Christmas, he told her she was on his nice list. She said he then asked her, "Do you know who is on my naughty list?
As a patriotic and proud citizen of the United States, I have a story to share that has not only impacted my family, hundreds of colleagues, but also current and future United States workers.

As I watched the grim faced Disney Executive, it was obvious that bad news was going to be delivered. The dead silence was broken when the Disney Executive made a harsh announcement. All of you in this room will be losing your jobs in the next 90 days. Your last day of employment for this company will be January 30, 2015. Your jobs have been given over to a foreign workforce. In the meantime you will be training your replacements until your jobs are 100 percent transferred over to them and if you don’t cooperate you will not receive any severance pay. Also, if we don’t feel confident that we have captured everything that you do we can, at our discretion, keep you longer than the 90 days until we have captured everything that you do with this job. Don’t discuss this meeting with anybody else in the company. Everybody in the room was appalled at the message. I was completely silent thinking how this was going to affect my coworkers and how I was going to break the news to my wife and children back at home as I was the only person in my home with a steady job. How would I pay for all the expenses that go along with a home, a wife, and children?

The CIA’s deputy director plans to resign and will be replaced by White House lawyer and agency outsider Avril D. Haines, Director John O. Brennan said Wednesday. Haines, who will succeed career officer Michael Morell on Aug. 9, has served for three years as President Obama’s deputy counsel in charge of national security issues and as legal adviser to the National Security Council. Although she has never worked inside the intelligence agency, “she knows more about covert action than anyone in the U.S. government outside of the CIA,” Brennan said in an interview.

Operators of a Jersey Shore boardwalk game have removed a mannequin representing President Barack Obama. It has been replaced by effigies of former President George W. Bush and Hillary Clinton. "It’s just to show we’re not anti-Democrat or anti-Republican," Tommy Whalen told The Star-Ledger. He's the manager of Lucky Leo’s where the "Walkin Charlie" game debuted this summer. The game requires patrons to throw baseballs at plates held by the rotating caricatures. A plastic bag -- pink -- was placed over the Obama character's head after some people earlier this week said it was disrespectful to use the president's likeness....

Why hasn’t Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger replaced controversial movie director/initiative promoter Rob Reiner as chairman of the California Children and Families Commission? That’s the question that has many, especially Schwarzenegger’s fellow Republicans, perplexed. Reiner has stepped away, taken a “leave of absence” from his post at the so-called “First Five Commission” in the wake of revelations about its highly questionable spending practices under his leadership. But he intends to return to the chairmanship after his Proposition 82 universal preschool initiative is voted on in June, even though his term in office expired in 2004. Many Republicans thought they understood Schwarzenegger’s motivation...

Federal Emergency Management Agency Director Michael Brown, the principal target of harsh criticism of the Bush administration's response to Hurricane Katrina, was relieved of his onsite command Friday. He will be replaced by Coast Guard Vice Adm. Thad W. Allen, who was overseeing New Orleans relief, recovery and rescue efforts, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff announced. Earlier, Brown confirmed the switch. Asked if he was being made a scapegoat for a federal relief effort that has drawn widespread and sharp criticism, Brown told The Associated Press after a long pause: "By the press, yes. By the president, no." "Michael Brown...

Published reports on Tuesday suggest that the California Personnel Board may remove President Sean Harrigan from the board of CalPERS when his term expires next year. Mr. Harrigan blames efforts by the governor's office and top corporate players. If removed, however, Mr. Harrigan will have no one to blame but himself. Mr. Harrigan is an international vice president and executive director with the Food and Commercial Workers International, and has used his position at the helm of America's largest public pension fund to promote a far-left political agenda rather than to mainly assure the health of the fund's sizable investments....

Nearly four years have elapsed since the Oslo process (1993-2000) between Israelis and Palestinians foundered in bloodshed. Over that period, two U.S. administrations have tried to forge policies that would reduce the violence and point toward a solution to the conflict. It has not been a single-minded pursuit. Since September 11, 2001, the prime focus of Washington has been the management of unprecedented U.S. military interventions in the region, which removed regimes from power in Afghanistan and Iraq. The notion of Israeli-Palestinian peace as the key to regional stability has been replaced by the war on terror and the insistence on...

Israel-bashing French ambassador to UK recalled French Ambassador to the UK Daniel Bernard, who achieved notoriety when he described Israel as "that shitty little country" which threatens world peace, is being recalled. The decision to recall Bernard, 18 months after his undiplomatic remarks were first reported is said to be connected to the outcome of the recent French elections, in which prime minister Lionel Jospin's socialist government was replaced by a conservative administration. Bernard sparked a diplomatic stir at a luncheon he attended at the London home of Lord Black of Crossharbor, chairman of Hollinger Inc., which owns The Jerusalem...
