Transgender Americans are in large numbers relocating to other parts of the country over Red state laws that curtail their rights and make it harder for them to access sex-altering drugs, new research suggests. An opinion poll released this week found that 8 percent of trans adults have already left their neighborhood or state due to the new rules affecting them, and another 43 percent are thinking about making a move. That would amount to some 104,000 trans adults moving home, and another 559,000 considering it, based on an estimate that there are 1.3 million trans adults in the US....

I am considering taking an engineering job in Lewisville Texas and was wondering if there are decent nieghborhoods since the job consists of 50% or more travel I would want my stuff safe while I am away. I dont mind having a 30-45 minute commute, so I would be in that distance range. I am currently in Washington state and have been waiting a year and a half for a position to open with them. Long-time freeper relocating from 110% Dem. voting district (you know what I mean) in Brooklyn to a Tucson development with one of the largest (if not the largest) Republican clubs in America (learned about it on FR about a decade ago!). So sick of running into people who insult Trump continuously, just assuming I'm of like mind because I don't wear a swastika or other Nazi paraphernalia. Would you consider Asheville, with its art deco feel as the place to live or would you go for Greenville with its more settled ambience?
