For the last 10 days, moral superiors have pressured everyday Americans to heed attention to “football,” or as we deem it, soccer — so as not to be confused with the more popular sport. Americans Still Don’t Enjoy Soccer On Tuesday, the United States men’s national soccer team’s brief run in a Persian Gulf nation riddled with anti-Semites and misogynistic policies will end if the team doesn’t beat Iran, a squad with braver men than ours. If you live in the Twitter cesspool or an urban bubble, you likely are under the erroneous impression that most Americans enjoy soccer, but...

I just tried to get into my Target Red Card Account and there was no way. They have a new "agree or no agree" to their policy and it was pages and pages long. I skimmed through and saw the paperless billing.. give them permission to get into my bank.. and if "no agree" you don't get in to see your acount.

President Donald Trump met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino and U.S. Soccer President Carlos Cordeiro at the White House on Tuesday to commemorate North America winning its bid for the 2026 World Cup. During their meeting, which was open to the press and broadcast on a delay on "Shepard Smith Reporting," Infantino and Cordeiro gave Trump a number of gifts to remember the occasion. Cordeiro and Infantino both gifted Trump commemorative soccer jerseys, but near the end of the photo op, Infantino reached off camera to get one last gift for Trump. He handed Trump a wallet-sized cardholder with yellow...

Just days after Newt Gingrich won the endorsement of the New Hampshire Union Leader, one of his rivals sat down with another Granite State newspaper. Rick Santorum met with the editorial board of the Nashua Telegraph Monday for an hour and was asked about Gingrich’s comments on immigration at last week’s CNN and American Enterprise Institute debate. At the debate, Gingrich voiced a moderate approach to illegal immigration saying he would not remove all illegal immigrants that are currently in the country. “I do not believe that the people of the United States are going to take people who have...

Former President Bill Clinton praised his erstwhile nemesis former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, crediting his strong debate performances with propelling him into front-runner status for the GOP presidential nomination. (snip) Clinton was impressed that Gingrich devised a “red card” system that would be used to stop normalizing the immigration status of illegals if efforts to control the border proved ineffective.“That was a thoughtful response,” Clinton said.

f Newt Gingrich is a "policy wonk" as his friends proclaim, he is a very lazy one. He should have read the Kriebel Foundation's "Red Card Solution" before endorsing it as a non-amnesty solution to our immigration conundrum. The so-called Red Card Solution purports to create a new guest-worker program that solves all of our immigration problems. It strengthens border security, helps employers fill low-skilled jobs, bars criminals from participation and does all of this by "empowering the private sector" without use of taxpayer dollars. Maybe in the fine print it also wipes out the national debt. The problem is,...

With more than a dozen parties competing for your attention during the Gay Games, which run Saturday through July 22 throughout the Chicago area, just keeping up with the festivities could be a medal sport--with extra points for knowing exactly what to wear and how to prepare for each event. Some, such as the lavish "circuit parties" that are part of the gay scene in major cities, will keep you out dancing until breakfast time. Others are great for an early-evening transition into party mode. Debra Minghi is a self-described international circuit party veteran. She's also marketing program manager for...

Report: Manchester United to show Ronaldo the door, Rooney irate at teammate's role in sending off LONDON – Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo, criticized for his role in Wayne Rooney's sending off at the World Cup, won't be back at Manchester United and can expect payback from the star England striker in the future, a British newspaper said. Quoting an unnamed source, The Sun reported Monday that Rooney threatened to “split him in two” when the two next meet. Ronaldo may be wearing a different uniform when that happens. The British tabloid says United will show Ronaldo the door “because of...

Excerpt - American Express, Converse, Gap and Giorgio Armani are joining with Bono, the rock star, to sell products under a new brand, called “Red”, which will dedicate some of its revenues to fight Aids in Africa. The effort will include the creation of an AmexCo Red credit card that will be marketed first in the UK, targeting an estimated 1.5m British “conscience consumers” who are seen as more likely to buy products associated with a social benefit. AmexCo believes this figure will rise to 4m within three years. Other Red products available this spring will include Converse sports shoes...

Mauricio Alvarez's former attorney says he's finally starting to get it. I'm not so sure. When she worked for the former Richmond youth soccer coach, Angela Greene kept trying to tell him that his alleged attack on soccer referee Bruce Greenlee last year was a high-profile case. "I don't think he got it,'' says Greene, whom Alvarez fired this spring. "I think he appreciates it now.'' Alvarez's next court date is July 6, and he is running out of options. He's tried all manner of defenses against the charges he faces -- battery against a sports official and battery on...

KENTON-ON-SEA, South Africa -- Police were searching Monday for a referee accused of fatally shooting a coach on the field in a dispute during a weekend soccer game. Two players from the visiting Marcelle team were injured during the attack Saturday in the Eastern Cape coastal town of Kenton-on-Sea, police spokeswoman Mali Govender said. She declined to identify the suspect or the victims. "The referee awarded a penalty against the visiting team during a friendly match and then players stormed the field," Govender said. "It looks as if the referee had the firearm on his person and fired at the...
