Former first lady Melania Trump is set to host another fundraiser with the Log Cabin Republicans, which will take place on July 8. The fundraiser will be held at Trump Tower in New York and will have the ex-first lady headlining the event. The Log Cabin Republicans is a group of LGBT Republicans, with this fundraiser marking the latest move by former President Donald Trump's campaign to win over voters from this voting bloc. Melania Trump previously held a fundraising event with this group in April, which also marked her first fundraiser for her husband’s 2024 presidential campaign. She defended...

Well happy birthday to me. I have a Ministry to the homeless in downtown Greenville South Carolina and for the last 3 days I've been with a man who has recently released from jail and I've been encouraging him to stay sober presenting him the gospel, and I bought him a meal and gave him a bunch of Gatorade and things to drink. Today while talking to him he told me that he is covid positive. I asked him right now? And he said yes.

News Analysis The case of Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn is inevitably heading toward its conclusion. While the presiding district judge, Emmet Sullivan, is trying to keep it going, there’s only so much he can do, chiefly because there’s nobody left to prosecute the case after the Department of Justice (DOJ) dropped it last month. In the latest developments, the District of Columbia appeals court set a hearing in the case on June 12, while the DOJ’s solicitor general himself, as well as five of his deputies, urged the court to order the lower-court judge to accept the case dismissal. “I...

I haven't done a quick vanity screed in ages, not as a singluar post, but something set me off today. Donald Trump claims now that he will close some mosques in the United States if they are ISIL related. "Varney asked Trump if he agreed with British Prime Minister David Cameron’s recent proposal to close mosques if a worshiper is linked to ISIS. Trump responded unequivocally, “Absolutely, I think it’s great.” Varney, apparently taken aback by Trump’s flippant response to depriving Americans of their constitutional rights, followed up incredulously, “Can you close a mosque?” Adding, “We do have religious freedom.”...

A heavyweight lineup of former national security officials banded together late Tuesday to accuse Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) president Grover Norquist and high-ranking GOP political operative Suhail Khan of connections to the Muslim Brotherhood. The officials authored a 45-page dossier on the issue to Cleta Mitchell, the top lawyer for the American Conservatives’ Union who in 2011 cleared Norquist of the allegations initially brought by former high-ranking Reagan official Frank Gaffney. The signatories include numerous powerful and respected former officials, including former Attorney General Michael Mukasey, former CIA Director James Woolsey, former Florida Rep. Allen West, retired Army Lt....

"He also told me something that I never forgot, for it caused me to do some other things in an effort to be nice to him and possibly a favor. We spoke of where I had been and the world as I saw it. I told him I had been to Africa , Mombassa specifically, and he said to me abruptly, “I was born there.” In the light of what is called “The Birther” movement, these memories are still foremost in my mind concerning this. While I cannot swear it was Barak Obama, all the details I do remember of...

Look, I met him in 1980 in Hawaii, 3 months after coming back from Mombassa, and the guy I met told me he was born in Mombassa, raised in Indonesia, was living in Hawaii with people who were not his parents, and called the older black gentleman who was working at the time, POPS. I remember the smile, the ears, and I remember going back to the barracks to get my friends photo albums to go back to Waikiki to show him his nation of birth, his city of birth. They all refused to go, so, I never went back....

... he, Obama, was born in Mombasa, Kenya, but that someday he hoped to be President of the USA... I first heard of this man, a well-respected FreeRepublic member named RaceBannon, about two years ago on these forums, but have seen very little since. RaceBannon met a young man, in Hawaii, and here is what RaceB has said "I met him in 1980 in Hawaii, 3 months after coming back from Mombassa, and the guy I met told me he was born in Mombassa, raised in Indonesia, was living in Hawaii with people who were not his parents, and called...

'Freeper' sued President Bush's 60-million-vote re-election triumph might have helped Inside the Beltway readers forget those 36 days in late 2000, when it seemed that Al Gore's squads of lawyers might deprive Mr. Bush of his narrow victory in Florida. Providing moral support for Mr. Bush during the Florida recount nightmare were members of FreeRepublic.com. The "Freepers," as they call themselves, staged pro-Bush demonstrations across the country, from Palm Beach County to Washington, D.C., — where their chants of "Get out of Cheney's house" reportedly were loud enough to rattle Mr. Gore's nerves inside the vice presidential residence at the...

This was discussion on another thread as to who would get Time's prestigious Man of the Year award. It was suggested that John O'Neill should. It just seems unlikely that this will come to fruition. So who needs Time, anyhoo? Freeper tazannie suggested that we have our own "Man of the Year" awards and Jim gave his blessing to let the nominations begin! I suggested that the winner be the guest of honor at the Freeper Ball. Wouldn't that be a blast?
