... he, Obama, was born in Mombasa, Kenya, but that someday he hoped to be President of the USA... I first heard of this man, a well-respected FreeRepublic member named RaceBannon, about two years ago on these forums, but have seen very little since. RaceBannon met a young man, in Hawaii, and here is what RaceB has said "I met him in 1980 in Hawaii, 3 months after coming back from Mombassa, and the guy I met told me he was born in Mombassa, raised in Indonesia, was living in Hawaii with people who were not his parents, and called the older black gentleman who was working at the time, POPS." Race, are you there? Can you tell us again what you experienced?

RaceBannon: Look, I met him in 1980 in Hawaii, 3 months after coming back from Mombassa, and the guy I met told me he was born in Mombassa, raised in Indonesia, was living in Hawaii with people who were not his parents, and called the older black gentleman who was working at the time, POPS.
I remember the smile, the ears, and I remember going back to the barracks to get my friends photo albums to go back to Waikiki to show him his nation of birth, his city of birth. They all refused to go, so, I never went back.
but I KNOW what I heard and why I remember it.
Obama clearly told me he was born in Mombassa.
There is NO ONE ELSE in Hawaii at the time who could have said that honestly.

>>>Q: Ive read your story before but not the part about Pops aka Frank M Davis. Could you please expand re: Pops? Did yo meet him as well? What kind of relationship did the two seem to have?<<< ---------- Answer: I remember him calling the older guy who was dressed like a short order cook, Pops
I pressed him a little bit, he kind of avoided the question, but it appears he said that was his Pops, or his Dad

Have you ever been interviewed about this?
Would you agree to?
Would you post a vanity on FR telling the whole story (I have seen it in full, but most have not) ...?
Ping.
Sounds like you are trying to get poor Race wiped out.
CRAP! Almost Everytime I want to believe something......it takes me to world NUT daily and my hopes are smashed.
Here’s the thread where RaceBannon confirmed that he met 0bama in 1980.

like attracts like...
I’m sorry. Should’ve pinged you, too. #7
No, not at all.
Just hoping that ALL FReepers could read what he has posted just one day ago ...
Don’t you think that would be a good idea?
It seems to me to be extremely relevant to the many other posts seen on FR recently ...
I was in west Africa at the time of the elections and the people were overjoyed that a man born in Kenya that had moved to the US was going to be president. They told me that America was a very great place to have a African as a president.
Obama clearly told me he was born in Mombassa.
I believe the Freeper but Obama is a liar.
“Obama clearly told me he was born in Mombassa.”
I believe him, the FReeper, also.
Thanks
I could be wrong but I think Race left FR during the illegal immigration/amnesty debates, circa 2006?
Stopped clock, right twice a day?
When MaObama was in school, he claimed he was a foreign student and applied for Educational Assistance and Federal grants to pay for his College under a program that helped non citizens.
This may also be why MaObama will not let any of his College records be seen. Because it clearly shows that he was never a citizen.
Racebannon’s Blog post in which he tells the whole story:
