Once again, several Hollywood celebrities spent the year fantasizing about violence against President Donald Trump, his family, members of his administration, and his supporters. While down from the more than dozen celebrities who imagined violence against Trump in 2017, the Hollywood hate was still savage from the likes of Jim Carrey, John Legend, and Rosie O’Donnell. 1. Peter Fonda Calls for Barron Trump to Be Kidnapped, Put in Cage with Pedophiles Actor Peter Fonda went on an unhinged rant on social media in June about the controversy over children being separated from adults at the border. Among other things, Fonda...

From his second-floor apartment at the counterculture crossing of Haight and Ashbury streets, Arthur Evans watches a new generation of wayward youth invade his free-spirited neighborhood. The former flower child was among the legions of idealistic wanderers who migrated here during the Vietnam War to "tune in, turn on and drop out." They're known as gutter punks, these homeless kids with dirty dreadlocks and nose rings, lime-green mohawks and orange spray-painted faces, who panhandle with cardboard signs that riff on their lifestyles. "Please Help Us Get Un-Sober," one reads. Another: "Please Give Us Weed, Beer or Money." Sometimes aggressive, they...
  • ...College Students Rate President Bush Near Historic Lows, Harvard Poll Finds

newswire ^ | 11/16 | Esten Perez of Harvard University's Institute of Politics
A new national poll by Harvard University's Institute of Politics (IOP), located at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, finds that students -- like other Americans -- rate President George W. Bush at the lowest point in his presidency, and believe in record numbers that the country is off on the wrong track. With their mood souring, the poll also shows college students are less likely today to believe political engagement is an effective way to solve problems, and they are more skeptical of elected officials and the political process than they were just a year ago. Despite their...

Federal officials believe they have broken up an al Qaeda terror cell operating in Lodi and have arrested two men and detained two others as part of a wide-ranging investigation, authorities said Tuesday. One of the men arrested, 22-year-old Hamid Hayat, is accused in a federal criminal complaint of training in an al Qaeda camp in Pakistan to learn “how to kill Americans” and then lying to FBI agents about it. His training included explosives and weapons instruction and using photographs of President Bush as targets, court documents indicate. BUSH ADMINISTRATION, CONGRESSIONAL LEADERS FULLY TO BLAME FOR TERRORIST ACCESS TO GUNS White House, Justice Department, Republican Congressional Leaders Ignored Warnings In Rush to Please National Rifle Association Washington, D.C. - For more than three years, law enforcement leaders, policy experts, reasonable members of Congress and advocacy groups have been arguing that bills passed by Congress and policies set by the Bush White House were going to make it easy for terrorist organizers to arm themselves for attacks against innocent Americans. But the inner circle in power in the nation's capital wore blinders, singularly focused on delivering victories for the...

Gun control supporters hold rally in D.C. By KATA KERTESZ The Associated Press 5/9/2004, 6:29 p.m. ET WASHINGTON (AP) — Nick Wilcox wore a button with a picture of his late daughter and spoke of the satisfaction of joining other gun-control advocates Sunday at a rally to urge renewal of a federal ban on assault weapons. "It's always gratifying to be with kindred spirits, and that's what this is," said Wilcox, whose 19-year-old daughter, Laura, was one of two workers at a mental health department office in California shot to death in 2001 by a patient. The assailant used a...

WASHINGTON US troops facing extended deployments amid the danger, heat, and uncertainty of an Iraq occupation are suffering from low morale that has in some cases hit "rock bottom." Even as President Bush speaks of a "massive and long-term" undertaking in rebuilding Iraq, that effort, as well as the high tempo of US military operations around the globe, is taking its toll on individual troops. Some frustrated troops stationed in Iraq are writing letters to representatives in Congress to request their units be repatriated. "Most soldiers would empty their bank accounts just for a plane ticket home," said one recent Congressional...

As ASUCR closed out their year last Thursday with one last meeting, student groups came out in a final attempt this year to secure funding to increase safety for women of color. "We stand in solidarity with women of color," said a representative of the Student Coalition for Peace. "There is a war in the United States and here at UCR. We want funding and security not UCR affiliated to protect against UCPD and the Greek community. The anger expressed by a number of students at the meeting stemmed from the allocation and subsequent de-allocation of funds for a safe...

It was just reported on the Al Rantel show in Los Angeles by an associate at KGO in San Francisco that a peace protestor actually defecated in the street by a federal building. In addition, they are apparently drinking sour milk and forcing themselves to puke in the street. Yep, these peace pukes are really a class act.

I am shocked. What happened? I thought that the whackjob teacher from Boston, William Rivers Pitt, and the pedophile former inspector, Scott Ritter, wrote a cute little fantasy book that was going to stop the war. They weren't too delusional, were they? Maybe their mistake was that we have a real commander in chief instead of the rapist POS that inhabited our White House for eight long years. Pitt and Ritter, along with the other delusional comrades were expecting demonstrations in the street to determine foreign policy. Perhaps they thought that Bush was a spineless weasel like the Sinkmaster and...

I was thinking about this yesterday and say another FR thread about anger at Ron Kuby in New York. Will the legal eagles of FR please check in with opinions. Does a large protest require a permit as a parade so requires? If so, someone has taken on respsibility. Whoever protests is causing a cost to the taxpayers for increased policing. Who is paying for that? If a business suffers property damage or loss of business because of the actions of protestors, who is responsible? It seems to me there might be grounds for a multitude of suits. Any ideas?

Reports this morning suggest high-profile politicians in Canada and the United States might be on an al Qaeda assassination list. A report in the National Post says new intelligence obtained by the Canadian Security Intelligence Serve, the FBI and CIA is causing concerns about the safety of top political figures in North America. Sources said the information suggests organized cells operating in Canada and the U.S. with links to the al Qaeda terrorist network are preparing to assassinate prominent politicians on both sides of the border. David Harris, the former chief of strategic planning at CSIS, told CTV's Newsnet that...

Gas-guzzlers ticketed for fuelling war WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Sport utility vehicles across the United States will be ticketed by a group of peace protesters alleging that gas-guzzling cars fuel war and other deadly conflicts. Tens of thousands of mock parking tickets have been printed for distribution in cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington, according to the Berkeley-based nonprofit group Project Underground. "Gas-guzzling fuels terrorism and war," read the tickets, stamped "Violation" along one side. "Drunk driving puts lives at risk -- and so does driving an SUV. Oil dependence drives conflicts that kill innocent people. Please take a...

One of the benefits of living in Southern California is being able to hear the Al Rantel show on KABC. Luckily, KABC stole him from Florida a few years ago. On tonight's show, we were going to have the opportunity to listen to Al take on some of the protestor pukes from Cal State University Northridge -- C-SUN. He would have taken several on at one time, as is customary with conservatives. But sometime during the day, one of them found out that Al was a "conservative." A dreaded conservative. OH, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! So the little "pussified weenies" and "pukes" as...
