It wasn't too long ago that Levi Johnston was pretty much like any other Alaskan teenager. With the exception of dating the then-governor's daughter he was, dare we say, a no body. But in less than two years he's fathered a son, broken up with the 2008 Republican Vice Presidential canidate's teenage daughter, fought a rather public custody fight with Sarah Palin's family, and now landed squarely on the pages of Playgirl. We should also point out: added a bodyguard (as seen in this picture from today at the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood Party.) The fruit of his labor will...

When the California Supreme Court in May decided to ban all same-sex marriages from that point forward, but keep valid the 18,000 gay marriages that already went down, it never addressed one other little matter: what to do about out-of-state gay marriage. Enter State Sen. Mark Leno, who wants to give the Mormon Church an aneurysm with a new bill that would recognize those unions. Just like Washington D.C.'s City Council did, California could be en route to banning gay marriage in its own borders, but opening itself up to gay Iowans and Bay Staters who wed in their home...

OK, so this account is pretty long, but it's a great read: Tolerance is a joke. It is. It can't be applied by any sort of significant majority (especially one that claims to be tolerant) in opposition to a minority. City-slickers to the Amish. Everyone to Ron Paul supporters. Homosexual rights advocates to Christian protesters (even if there's almost 1000 of them to four of us). And that's why today was so much fun. It started out with Facebook. Thanks, everyone, for telling me that this 'anti- Prop 8' protest was going on in downtown Denver (even if you didn't...

Barack Obama has expressed his support for same-sex couples' right to adopt children. In a letter to the Family Equality Council, Obama writes: " ... we have to eliminate discrimination against LGBT families ... [and] we have to extend equal treatment in our family and adoption laws." While McCain and his wife, Cindy, have an adopted child, he said to the New York Times, "I think that we've proven that both parents are important in the success of a family, so no, I don't believe in gay adoption." According to the Family Equality Council, same-sex parents are raising 4%...

Next month, California voters will decide whether to eliminate the right of same-sex couples to marry by altering the state's constitution. This week, the California Teachers Association announced it opposes Prop 8 by donating $1 million to fight the initiative. Prop 8 seeks to ban same-sex marriages in California. The teachers union said it decided to oppose Prop 8 during its state council meeting in June. The CTA felt that it needed to donate the gift to help defeat the measure. "CTA views Prop 8 as a human rights issue. Everyone should be allowed equal protection under the law, and...
