Federal prosecutors are trying to compel the lawyer of former President Donald Trump to testify before the grand jury, citing the “crime fraud” exception to circumvent attorney-client privilege. They cannot beat Trump, so they need to shred legal frameworks considered sacrosanct to find anything that could lead to an indictment. This order comes from the special counsel reviewing the allegations that Donald Trump mishandled classified information, which shouldn’t be going near this since it could lead to Mr. Biden being slapped with similar charges. At least, that’s what’s logical (via NBC News): "The special counsel investigating Donald Trump’s handling of...

Justice Department prosecutors investigating the mishandling of classified documents at Donald Trump’s Florida estate are seeking to pierce the attorney-client privilege and want to again question one of the former president’s lawyers before a grand jury, a person familiar with the matter said Tuesday night. The privilege protects lawyers from having to tell prosecutors about confidential conversations their clients have with them. But prosecutors can get around that privilege if they can convince a judge that the communications they want information about were made in furtherance of a crime — a principle known as the crime-fraud exception. Prosecutors have already...

The leaked text message was reported by Fox News in September, more than a year after the event The fight occurred at Porter's first town hall following the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, which was held in Irvine. Julian Willis was arrested after apparently giving a Trump supporter a bloody nose,...

September 2nd, 2022 On Friday’s Mark Levin Show, why did former AG Bill Barr stay with the Trump Administration as long as he did if Trump was as bad as he said he was? Barr erroneously assumes that the appointment of a Special Master for the FBI raid is a red herring when the issue at hand is the protection of privilege or one’s fourth amendment right. If privilege simply didn’t matter then it wouldn’t be part of the Presidential Records Act.

A reader writes: A relative I haven’t spoken to in years is fraudulently applying to my department at a large university. To put it simply, this is a potential Rachael Dolezal situation. “Connie” is applying for a research and teaching position in my department. Her mother was married to my uncle for about 15 years and for 15 years I spent most weekends and every holiday and summer with Connie. We were quite close as kids. For full clarity: Connie is white. She is not an immigrant, she is not adopted, and both of her parents come from white, American...

Special counsel John Durham has issued trial subpoenas for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Fusion GPS, and Perkins Coie as he continues to prosecute his findings as special counsel, from which he charged cybersecurity lawyer Michael Sussmann, who in 2016 represented the Clinton campaign, with lying to the FBI. Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, the DNC, Washington-based private intelligence firm Fusion GPS, and law firm Perkins Coie, Sussmann’s former employer, meanwhile, are trying to fend off Durham’s efforts to compel them to hand over previously withheld documents. The campaign and Sussmann’s lawyers argue that attorney-client privilege should...

In a coordinated legal action between a number of Hillary Clinton operatives and associates, almost two dozen separate documents were simultaneously filed on April 19 in special counsel John Durham’s case against former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann. This sudden flurry of mass filings included responses from former Clinton campaign Chairman John Podesta, campaign manager Robby Mook, Clinton campaign lead lawyer Marc Elias, contractors Fusion GPS, the Clinton campaign itself, and the Democratic National Committee (DNC). The trigger for the flurry of filings was a request by Durham to unseal a number of emails involving the parties. The emails are...

People took to Twitter this week to lambast Peppa Pig: Peppa Goes to Ireland after discovering it features no Irish characters and stereotypes such as Peppa's family purchasing fiddles and attending an Irish-dancing festival. The criticism came after one parent, Irish author Kevin Power, tweeted a photo of the book on Monday and wrote: 'I read this to my daughter at bedtime. 'It features no Irish characters, just English characters enjoying themselves in Ireland, thus reinscribing 800 years of colonialism. Might call Liveline (an Irish radio show) about it tomorrow.' He later clarified that he was joking, but parents rushed...

The State of Indiana can no longer afford to have the civically ignorant elect the civically ignorant. It is time for every Indiana resident and candidate for public office to demonstrate a basic knowledge of civics before they run for public office or vote. Just as every driver is required to have a basic knowledge and competence in driving before they are allowed to drive on public roads, voters should be required to demonstrate a basic knowledge and competence in honoring and supporting the constitutional republic in which they participate. To this end, the undersigned request legislation to require the...

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Ky.) said late Tuesday that former White House strategist Steve Bannon’s refusal to cooperate with the House committee investigating the Capitol riot suggests President Trump was "personally involved in the planning and execution of January 6th." "Based on the committee’s investigation, it appears that Mr. Bannon had substantial advance knowledge of the plans for January 6th and likely had an important role in formulating those plans. Mr. Bannon was in the war room at the Willard on January 6th. He also appears to have detailed knowledge regarding the president’s efforts to sell millions of Americans the fraud...

All Steel Carports Inc. told the court in a sentencing memo that owner Ignacio Chavez, who came to the U.S illegally himself before winning legal residency in 2009, didn’t consider hiring illegal immigrants to be a big deal. “In his culture laws are there but few respect them,” the company’s lawyers wrote. ...The Biden administration cut him a break, dropping human...

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva called an egg-throwing attack this week on Black Republican recall candidate Larry Elder by a White woman wearing a gorilla mask a hate crime and blamed "woke privilege" for liberal silence on the issue. "QUESTION: How is this not a hate crime? ANSWER: Because "woke privilege" means a white woman can wear a gorilla mask and attack a black man without fear of being called a racist. Where is the outrage from our politicians?" Villanueva tweeted on Thursday. Villanueva said he plans to investigate the attack as a hate crime because the woman wore...

Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday blasted the “leftist” Jan 6. House Select Committee following its sweeping records request which included call logs from Trump and several former members of his administration. Trump said the committee has “further exposed itself as a partisan sham and waste of taxpayer dollars,” calling the request “timed” in order to distract Americans from “historic and global catastrophes brought on by the failures of Joe Biden and the Democrats.” “Unfortunately, this partisan exercise is being performed at the expense of long-standing legal principles of privilege,” Trump said in an emailed statement.

**SNIP** Ed Buck, a one-time celebrated and sought-after donor to the Democratic candidates and elected officials in California, faces nine felonies, including two counts of distribution of controlled substances resulting in death. Your garden variety middle-aged white gay man, Ed Buck, was privileged and entitled with the “complexion for protection.” A West Hollywood City Hall gadfly with a checkbook he wasn’t afraid to use, aside from giving the max allowed to political candidates, Buck’s...
