One of the fastest ways to make a quick decision whether or not a politician, at least a male politician, is just a self centered narcissist in it for himself is to look at his hair and suits. Hypothetical situation: After murder known members of a gang are walking around filming anyone who speaks to the police. Now no witnesses will come forward. Is this first amendment press or witness intimidation?

Back to real situation: Witnesses are reluctant to talk because an unknown person is filming. It was perfectly reasonable to make contact with the person, find out who he is, and be able to reassure witnesses. The rest of the actions I will not defend.

this could have been resolved with more patience and less “authoritaaaay” but I’m not wholly on board with filming witnesses as they give testimony.

First point leads to my second point...there should have never been anything to resolve. The man was well with in his rights to be doing what he was doing. Cops have no business interfering with a citizen practicing his/her rights. Second, there is no right to privacy in public. If you expect privacy in public you have to create that privacy yourself. If a willing witness is present then the onus is on LEO's to isolate them prior to an interview for privacy.

Camera's in public are frigging everywhere. Stores, dash cams, iPhones...privacy in public is almost nonexistent. With facial recognition and AI, soon it will not exist at all.

I remember when Europe began to allow euthanasia elderly people feared going to the doctor as the doc might decide on his own the patient has no “Quality of Life” left and kill them.

Rather than volunteer your g'son, I'd run it by him first. Agreeing to fight for Zelensky might be grounds for involuntary commitment.

At the time, he was considered to be a fine choice.

January 6th caused Freepers to detest him.

And like Freeper skywise stated, with the passage of time it appears he was suggested to Trump by people who fully intended to hobble and destroy his Presidency. An enemy plant.

Those long four years, Trump had a lot of time to ponder these things. Who suggested John Bolton? Who suggested Mike Pence? Who suggested Bill Barr?

And so on. Trump was handicapped his first time around, not really knowing the political landscape, and had to depend on others for suggestions and advice.

In the last four years, I am certain he determined he had to depend on people he REALLY trusted for advice, and on his own instincts.

And it shows in the last 9 months.

Like so many people have said, these four months in the wilderness were a blessing in disguise. It gave him time to think about what happened.

Ha-ha ... with Navy at 4-0 and Army at 1-3, Army better get their ducks in a row quickly to even dare to show their faces on the field. And, yes, I know that you can throw away the win/loss comparison for the Army/Navy Game ... it's in a league of its own when it come to the Game Day.
