Belga News Agency reports that modern construction work beneath the Brusselsestraat in Leuven unearthed a rare and remarkably well-preserved Roman wooden water pipe, which the city council has described as a "unique and exceptional find." The conduit was located about 13 feet beneath the level of the modern city street. Extending between 65 and 100 feet long, the pipeline was constructed from hollow tree trunks measuring around six feet each. While similar features have been found in other Belgian cities such as Tienen and Tongeren, they have typically been very badly decayed. Archaeologists believe that the pipe was installed sometime...

Both Alberta Premier Danielle Smith and U.S. President-elect Donald Trump want to revive the long-dead cross-border Keystone XL pipeline project, but is that feasible? A major challenge in resuscitating the project will be ginning up enough political will and corporate determination to wade through the legal and regulatory requirements to begin construction, not to mention tackling the growing anti-fossil fuel advocacy across the continent. Former owner TC Energy terminated the project in June 2021. The pipeline system is now part of the spinoff company South Bow, and that adds to the challenges of resurrecting the Keystone XL expansion. On Nov....

Sometimes one runs into the problem of pipe or hose connectors made of different types of metals needing to be threaded together. This can happen when replacing plumbing in an older home, or, for that matter with garden hoses and fixtures. There are of course various anti-seize products on the market, and I've used Permatex 80078 to good effect on occasion, but, I rather question if it should be used in potable water situations, or even for hoses out to the ol' garden. Oatey "Great Blue" Pipe Joint Compound or Harvey "TFE Paste" work well as pipe joint compounds, but...

Is the inside surface of clear copper tubing, such as used in refrigeration systems, anodized or have some other finish applied to it? It appears to be impossible to solder to, even using acid flux, unless the surface is thoroughly sanded (or use steel wool or a wire brush). The inside surface "as is" looks clean, with no darkening or oxidation, but is smooth, lacking the tiny scratches of sanding with high grit sandpaper, or using steel wool on it.

WASHINGTON—A third U.S. Capitol Police security camera was turned away from the Democratic National Committee during the police response to the pipe bomb found near a bench at DNC headquarters on Jan. 6, The Epoch Times has learned. Over three years have passed since January 6, 2021, and the truth of what really happened that day has never been more relevant. For the regime, the stakes involved in selling the official narrative of January 6 as a uniquely horrific domestic terror event are higher than ever. Such are the stakes that Biden’s crypt-keepers presumably injected him with the strongest stuff they had to keep the President conscious and standing upright for the duration of his hour and a half-long speech marking the anniversary of the day “we almost lost America.” And it makes sense. The ludicrous notion of...

Allies of President Biden are stepping up calls for Democrats to rally around the president, following negative commentary and splits from inside the party over whether he should forgo reelection. Former President Obama’s senior adviser David Axelrod has been the most notable Democrat to cause a ruckus when he suggested earlier this month that Biden step aside and further advised that the president has a “50-50 shot” of winning in 2024.

The European Union (EU) spent $100 million of taxpayer funds on building over 30 miles of water pipelines for Palestinians in Gaza, despite Hamas having bragged about their ability to turn the piping materials into makeshift rockets online. The EU participated in a number of initiatives between 2015 and 2022 to ensure Palestinians have fresh water, including working alongside UNICEF to install an 11-mile pipeline to Khan Yunus and Raha in southern Gaza. Footage emerged, in 2021, of Hamas fighters digging up the pipes and fashioning them into rockets to launch over the border into Israel. Despite this, the EU...

I posted a pic of Hunter with a crack pipe in his mouth quite a long time ago. Today, Fakebook is doing a macro cleanup on behalf of the Biden's... again. The screenshot is verbatim. They're calling Hunter's crack smoking an "intimate image" or "sexual violence" and auto-deleting. How is this not election interference?

Three years after it resumed operation of the last vestige of the old National Tube Works, U.S. Steel is pulling the plug on pipemaking in McKeesport. McKeesport Mayor Michael Cherepko said he is “extremely disappointed” with U.S. Steel Corp.'s announcement on Monday that it will idle indefinitely its McKeesport Tubular Operations effective in early August. “I think it is devastating for the entire Mon Valley region,” the mayor said shortly after receiving word about the shutdown of plants in McKeesport and Bellville, Texas, two of 10 plants in the Pittsburgh-based steelmaker's Tubular Products division. The announcement came 60 days before...

A drug treatment center in Vancouver, Canada has installed a crack pipe vending machine at its facility — going retail in an effort to reach hardcore addicts and keep them off the streets. The bright, polka-dotted machine dispenses crack pipes like candy or snacks: Each glass pipe costs a quarter, and rolls off a spindle into a tray. A sign on the machine says simply, “Pipes 25¢” About all that’s missing is a picture of Toronto’s crack-smoking mayor, Rob Ford.
