MADRAS, Ore. -- A community memorial service will be held next Saturday for Private First Class Thomas Tucker of Madras, the soldier who disappeared during an insurgent attack in Iraq and was killed. The service will begin at 1 p.m. at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds Expo Center in Redmond. The Oregon National Guard, which is helping the Tucker family, says the service will be open to the public. Afterward, the family will hold a private burial.
