The Maine State House has removed a portrait of former U.S. Senate Majority Leader George J. Mitchell following renewed scrutiny over his reported ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Maine House Republicans posted video of the portrait being taken down on social media Friday afternoon.
