When the witness asked the pilot if he was all right, the pilot answered that he was, but he seemed to be unaware that his airplane had impacted poles during the landing. The pilot subsequently asked the witness if the wildfires had reached his ranch. The witness stated that he didn't know where the pilot's ranch was. The pilot then asked the witness if he could put some beer that his brother left in the airplane, in the witness' truck. Another witness asked what happened, and the pilot said, "I don't know, I land here almost every other day." They...

1984’s politically incorrect Red Dawn The nation is mourning Patrick Swayze, who passed away yesterday at age 57 after a long fight with pancreatic cancer. Everyone remembers his performances in Dirty Dancing and Ghost, but few if any obituaries will commemorate his role in one of the most politically incorrect films of the last 25 years: Red Dawn.Leftists have always despised, and still revile, the film. For a quarter-century, the far-Left has claimed Ronald Reagan brainwashed the nation’s youth with this movie. Less than a year ago, David Plotz was so troubled by it that he assailed it in...

When we found out that Patrick Swayze had pancreatic cancer, we thought, “oh no, he won’t be around long.” We thought this because we know the statistics for surviving pancreatic cancer are not good, only thirteen percent. This is not to say that Swayze cannot survive this cancer . He was a healthy, fit, person, who took good care of himself before this diagnosis. Swayze does not fit the mold of a pancreatic cancer patient. Most of these patients are in their 60’s and 70’s, and are usually heavy drinkers, heavy smokers with poor diets that include lots of fats....

Patrick Swayze cut a gaunt figure when he was spotted in public for the first time in weeks. The actor, who is fighting pancreatic cancer, looked gaunt and frail as he defiantly smoked a cigarette while waiting for wife Lisa Niemi in Beverly Hills. Once famed for his athletic body and steamy routines in the 1987 hit movie Dirty Dancing, the actor now looks a shadow of his former self. The 56-year-old smoked several cigarettes in under 10 minutes, according to onlookers, puffing big clouds of smoke out of the truck.'He was puffing away and appeared as if he didn't...

Patrick Swayze checked himself into the hospital this morning suffering from a bout of pneumonia, which is said to be a complication of chemotherapy treatments for his pancreatic cancer. Swayze was scheduled to join his fellow co-star and producers in presenting A&E's new drama The Beast to critics, which he stars in. My mother, Connie Loughman, was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in August 2007. As you may know (due to the media attention surrounding Patrick Swayze's diagnosis) Pancreatic Cancer has very high mortality rate since most patients are diagnosed at a late stage of the disease and there are few effective treatments. The courage and tenacity my mom has shown in this battle is more than even an adoring daughter like me could have ever hoped for. She has done all she can to fight this terrible disease but now it's my turn to show that same strength and determination and fight...

MAN sought the help of a medium after he got tired of a female ghost who wanted to have sex with him every night for the last 16 years, China Press reported. The 34-year-old man from Kuala Lumpur, known only as Kelvin, said he felt very tired every night as the long-haired ghost would lure him into making love with her by appearing in different images. “I have been having bad luck since she appeared in my dream. I have not been able to get married although I have had five girlfriends. “My employers fired me because I could not...

Patrick Swayze: Middle East Scholar October 26, 2004 By Debbie Schlussel Does consuming wontons at a Chinese restaurant make you an expert on Sino-American relations? Patrick Swayze thinks so. Just a week before the election, that’s the logic Swayze—the has-been “Dirty Dancing” actor—used in an absurd interview he gave to generate press for his wife’s latest failed film, “One Last Dance.” Speaking with Agence France Presse (it figures he’d pick the French) while in Warsaw, Swayze criticized the United States for being “insensitive” and “disrespectful” in Iraq. “I know a great deal about the Middle East because I’ve been raising...
