NURSES are being banned from parking at the Infirmary – in a bid to encourage them to use public transport. Dozens of staff at the hospital are furious after being told by bosses that their £14-a-month parking permits would not be renewed as they could walk or cycle to work. A senior member of staff described the move as ‘insulting and ridiculous’ and said it would be ‘impossible’ for many of her colleagues as they live miles away.
