Because I posted this last night: ***Who Needs A Knife: Stabbed In The Back By Someone We Loved*** along with a few comments as to why I felt that way, I wish to hasten to point out my love and devotion to Madam President and all she stands for.... I, like many others, were deeply hurt by this unexpected announcement, and being so reacted in the way I did.... But For the record, I want all my fellow Freepers to know that I still back her 100%, and having slept on it, stand by comments made on my TV show:...

To Mr. and Mrs. Todd Palin: Thank you for stepping forward, and providing so much inspiration for so many. Certainly and obviously, you have been met with challenges. This FReeper would like to say thanks for being there. And hope you'll be back.

Sarah Palin's true role will be revealed in her next contribution to conservatism. The first token will be seen in her participation in primaries on behalf of conservatives against rinos. After the election, assuming a Republican president and a Republican Senate, look for Sarah Palin to assume the role of the conscience of conservatism. When Sarah Palin burst onto the national scene she was reflexively and viscerally loathed by the left. The left's reaction was visceral in the sense that it was not cerebral. They loathed Sarah Palin, they could do no other, and they did not even know why....

Ann Coulter + Laura Ingraham = two Ivy League BA holding women w/ law school degrees who at some point in their life, likely dreamt of holding high political office (Coulter almost ran for Congress in Connecticut!)--but neither had the courage to challenge the old boy establishments of which they hail from, so they instead "followed the rules of the system" (as ivy leaguers are trained to do) and settled for the sole outlets by which feminist-minded women (the conformist breed of feminist) can gain the kind of stature they were desiring: This meant settling for something "easier" and less...
  • Vanity: Sarah Palin - any signs that she's locked up key talent?

If Sarah decides to run she's going to need an inner circle of top flight talent - pollsters, money people, strategists, messaging people etc. etc. If she's going to run there have to be people waiting on that call from Sarah saying "Let's go". Is anything known regarding if some people are sitting at home waiting for THAT phone to ring? I have not seen anything in this regard anywhere. Does anyone know?

On Monday and early Tuesday morning five heady polls were released: 1) The CNN poll of GOP contenders with a complete demographic breakdown. 2) The Gallup weekly summary (GWS)of last week's daily tracking poll results with an accompanying demographic breakdown. 3) The weekly Daily Kos poll (conducted by Public Policy Polling)showing a complete demographic breakdown, Obama's approval/disapproval and how Obama would do in the 2012 election if the election were held today. 4)Rasmussen's weekly healthcare poll of the repeal of Obamacare showing 57% want it repealed and only 37% want it kept the way it is and the Rasmussen generic...

There is a familiar aphorism among Palinistas and right-wing blogs that Sarah Palin plays chess while everyone else plays checkers. I agree. What I would like to do is illustrate how Sarah Palin is playing chess so deftly, what moves she plans to make once she enters the presidential race (the political lay of the land) and at the same time explain the deficiencies in the chess game prowess and execution of Mitt Romney and how these deficiencies may lead to his eventual downfall in the GOP primaries. In interest of full disclosure I am one of the worst chess...

I have been saying it via my tagline since Nov 3rd, 2008, IMHO Sarah's VP choice should be Alan Mulally CEO of Ford Motor Company.… He would be the penultimate out of the box choice for the following reasons:* He is the penultimate CEO in the nation if not the world.* IMHO he is the turn-around expert and would be the best choice to help downsize and streamline Government like he did at Ford to the tune of 40%.* Not a Gov’t Insider, has no “GS” career or pension to worry about * Would carry Michigan and possibly OH, IN,...

I listen ad nauseam to posters, some who are pro-Palin and some who are anti-Palin, discourse about Sarah Palin's entry (or non-entry) into the 2012 Presidential sweepstakes, generally advising her to "Hurry up!". Those afflicted with PDS (Palin Derangement Syndrome) gleefully proclaim that she is not running. Of course, not only is there no evidence for this proposition, her actions in the last six months, as well as many of her statements, would lead any rational observer to believe that she will run. But leaving aside the PDSers (who are in any case engaging in wishful thinking because they do...

I went to see The Undefeated today at 11:10am, at the AMC Grapvine Mills theater AND LOVED IT. The theater was about full (maybe 90%) and the time to watch was soooo...worth it. The first 60 minutes is all about Sarah's Alaska accomplishments (kind of a 6+ on the 10 scale) and the last 50 minutes was all about Sarah - nationally. The last 50 minutes were very moving...all the good stuff, lots of great comments from other about how Reaganesque (my words, not theirs) she comes across to the people. If you can see it...go, you will enjoy it.

Independently produced Sarah Palin documentary "The Undefeated" is out - playing now in limited release today - just got back from watching it. Don't want to spoil the ending for anyone, but ... if you admire *spectacular* panoramic cinematography of Alaska; if you like fiery pro-American speeches, the tea party, Ronald Reagan, Andrew Breitbart, Mark Levin, Tammy Bruce. Tea party rallies. Gratuitous Obama bashing. Heck, if you like FR. If you were deeply inspired by Vice Presidential candidate Palin's acceptance speech...

Awhile back I posted at Free Republic 50 reasons why I believe Sarah Palin would run for President based on Palin's personal attributes and my reading of the tea leaves for the past three years. I have also soaked up every meme thrown at her by her enemies and every opinion written about her favorable and unfavorable. In other words I have pretty well seen it all and I fully understand the arguments folks have made to claim Sarah Palin should NOT run for President, is not qualified for the job and simply is not viable or not electable in...

There's no hurry. You already have much more than the necessary name recognition. You already have an huge army of fiercely loyal supporters who will be ready to volunteer at a moments notice. In this online world, it might not be as necessary to have feet on the ground, with expensive headquarters and staffs in every state. You have Tea Party groups who will do a lot of the leg work for you. It is not necessary for you to officially be in the Iowa straw poll in Ames in August, although you can go there and be part of...

Lancing the “She Quit!” Boil One Last Time © 2011 By Gargantua One of the more unsettling hallmarks of the unfair, often deceitful, and always unprovoked attacks on Sarah Palin is the way in which she is frequently castigated for doing things commonly accepted when done by others, but which somehow rise to a level of unconscionable effrontery when she does them. A good example is the way that she was excoriated for having posted on her website a map of the United States which used surveyors marks to denote vulnerable Democratic congressional seats for The Tea Party to “target”in...

I'm at risk of exceeding the vanity quotient at FR but here goes. I'm baling hay tonight with my Fred Flintone model 70AD baler, things are going reasonably well since it's just under 100* and the hay, though heavy is quite dry. My wife is working cleaning a house in town 'till 8 or so for extra money and my junior/senior boy who is working with some carpenter friends of mine sheeting a roof was mowing the yard (without complaint for a change) before he showers and goes to the nearby small town to spend time with friends for the...

It is one of those things that people see but do not see. Gov Palin has not been seen on Fox News now for 34 days. From news reports Gov Palin is one of their most high paid commenters and yet they have chosen to not have her on air for an entire month plus. Her last appearance on Fox News was on June 5th 2011 where she appeared on Fox News Sunday. That appearance was one in which the anchor Chris Wallace called her performance "boffo" and remarked that for the first time he saw Gov Palin as a...
  • Why Sarah Palin Resigned... To Paraphrase William T. Sherman: "Her Business is Down South"

As Governor Sarah Palin prepares to launch her campaign for the Presidency, and the waves of disinformation about her intentions begin to subside, the next predictable narrative, as night follows day, is: “She’s a quitter.” How will she handle this charge? In a sense, she already has, with the statement at the time of her resignation, which provided cogent reasons for anyone fair minded enough to consider them. But in our popular culture of sound bite journalism, a pithier response is no doubt appropriate, a reply that can be employed within the context of a thirty second answer in a...

Sarah Palin is too modest to claim the role of "TEA Party Queen", but she most certainly deserves a great deal of credit for helping to get the movement going.  I want to acknowledge this on the second anniversary of her selfless actions in stepping aside and taking the fight to another level. Think back to August 2008.  I was a supporter os John McCain due to his service to the Country.  I thought that he was treated badly by the Bush Family in 2000, and I was glad to see him get his due. While I was all to...

I recently posted an article suggesting that Mchele Bachmann's candidacy, and its impact on Sarah Palin, is reminiscent of the 1980 candidacy of Phil Crane, which Ronald Reagan considered a threat to his nomination: Is Michele Bachmann Sarah Palin's Phil Crane? LINKAs I point out in the article linked above, Crane never really thought he had a chance for the nomination, and he was content to have one of the moderates (Baker or Bush) get the nomination in hopes that they would install Crane as the Vice-Presidential nominee. I did not explore some of the reasons why Crane's belief was...

An open letter to Governor Sarah Palin: Dear Mrs. Palin, I'm writing this open letter to make the case for you to seriously consider a run for the Presidency in 2012. I believe that our nation is at a critical juncture, and the need for a strong, noble leader is desperate. Times like these are when great leaders often emerge. Winston Churchill in 1940, Ronald Reagan in 1980. Now, it's time for the great leader of the next decade, and I think you are the one we're looking to. We need the GOP to win the presidency next year, but...
