Less than 24 hours after Tulsans saw temperatures rise to 73 degrees on Friday, spring arrived Saturday with hour after hour of rain, sleet, snow and wind. Richard Brackett shovels snow near 18th Street and Carson Avenue during heavy snowfall Saturday in Tulsa. The National Weather Service says the snow will keep falling across much of eastern Oklahoma and into northwest Arkansas on Sunday, with up to 6 more inches possible. That means some part of the two states will have gotten more than a foot of snow since the storm began Saturday.

Just about everyone, except the uber-faithful, now realizes global warming is perhaps the greatest hoax anyone (or any group) has ever tried to perpetrate on the world. I offer more anecdotal evidence of said hoax. Today I happened to be driving down 25 through New Mexico, cut the corner at Las Cruces on 26, and headed west into Arizona on 10. Noted that the small (by Colorado standards) mountains around Deming NM had snow on them. Snow, in late March. Not an isolated incident. All the mountains to my left (south of 10) as I crossed into AZ had snow....

NORMAN, Okla. – A powerful storm began blowing through Oklahoma and the southern Plains on the first day of spring Saturday, bringing heavy snow and strong winds a day after temperatures reached into the 70s. Officials said gusts of up to 40 mph could create drifts of blowing snow and blizzard conditions in what the National Weather Service called "a potentially life-threatening" storm. The weather could also affect attendance at men's and women's NCAA tournament games this weekend in Oklahoma City and Norman. "I'm not going to risk getting myself killed going down I-35," said Kansas State fan John Blankenship...

Meteoroligist David Jankowski said Saturday morning's mix of sleet and rain will turn to snow by early afternoon. "We're kind of in the transition stage," Jankowski said.
