At approximately 8:05 p.m. on Thursday, deputies from the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office responded immediately to an emergency call from the Oconee Nuclear Station. OCONEE CO., SC (WSPA) - Deputies in Oconee County are asking people to be vigilant after a threat was made against churches in the county. According to the Oconee County Sheriff's Office, a juvenile made a threat to "harm a nonspecific church by the use of a firearm" on social media. Investigators say the social media post was made last week and deputies were made aware on Tuesday. OCONEE COUNTY, Ga. - A north Georgia sheriff is taking a stand against a Buford gun store that refuses to sell certain types of rifles to the public. Dana Safety Supply has opted to only sell a semi-automatic, self-loading rifle to law enforcement and not to the general public. On Sunday, October 13th at the Oconee County Civic Center on Hwy 53 in Watkinsville there will be an "Old Fashioned" Political Rally. The recording listed the attendees and it was a very long list and I caught only the first couple. Sonny Perdue and Saxsby Chambliss were among the ones mentioned.
