A lawyer for Cosmo DiNardo, the man linked to the search for four missing men in Pennsylvania, said Thursday that his client had admitted to killing them and had told authorities where to find the bodies. The attorney, Paul Lang, said his DiNardo, 20, confessed to "the four murders" and was prepared to plead guilty to four counts of first-degree murder. DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - A second person was arrested in connection with a child abuse case in which the 5-year-old victim was found weighing just under 25 pounds. Daytona Beach police said Brian Hall, 29, is married to the victim’s mother, Naomi Hall, and did nothing to help the neglected child. Naomi Hall was arrested last week. Department of Children and Families investigators went to the Halls’ Daytona Beach home on June 28 where they found the 5-year-old boy lying on the living room floor.

Two Port Barre police officers were treated for injuries over the weekend after a hit-and-run investigation led to a violent confrontation with some neighborhood residents, according to Chief Deon Boudreaux. One officer was treated for injuries after a 15-year-old struck him in the head with a fishing pole, while the other suffered an arm injury after he was struck with a metal folding chair, Boudreaux said. Two people were injured on Saturday in a shooting at East Towne Mall that sent a panic through shoppers closed the mall six days before Christmas. Federal officials say six people have been charged in connection with home-invasion robberies that targeted victims of Indian and Asian ancestry. Some of those violent robberies took place in faraway Michigan. Others were close to home — in Flower Mound, Southlake, Allen and Coppell. SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - A citizen with a gun stopped a knife wielding man as he began stabbing people Thursday evening at the downtown Salt Lake City Smith's store. Police say the suspect purchased a knife inside the store and then turned it into a weapon. Smith's employee Dorothy Espinoza says, "He pulled it out and stood outside the Smiths in the foyer. The man accused of shooting and killing his estranged wife and her boyfriend is a federal law enforcement officer.
