I have a client that has 2 ISP's, Frontier and Mediacom and is running POS/Credit Card machines through the Frontier service primarily, however Frontier goes out from time to time so they would like to be able to switch to the Mediacom service easily and quickly during those down times. Question, is a dual wan router the best answer to this issue? Thanks for the input.

Facebook could be spreading unhappiness through society as well as keeping people connected, research has shown. The number one social networking site is strongly associated with declines in well-being, psychologists claim. Scientists found the more time people spent on Facebook over a two-week period, the worse they subsequently felt. In contrast, talking to friends on the phone or meeting them in person led to greater levels of happiness. "On the surface, Facebook provides an invaluable resource for fulfilling the basic human need for social connection," said Study leader Ethan Kross, from the University of Michigan. "But rather than enhance well-being,...

Basically, the original CD for this printer was lost. Webpages say to use some software that you have to load SCOM/SCE to use. We can get to this printer on the network (IP Address) and we have successfully set this up to one computer on the network. The story on the CDROM was that someone else used this printer at this University and probably discarded the CDROM. I have had no success with Dell Support sites. And the printer is old enough to be out of warranty. There is the following: Dell Printer Management Pack for (versions 4.1 and 5.0)...

With more than 50 percent of the world's population under age 30, humanity is getting younger and less experienced. E-mail is already passe. Some universities have stopped distributing e-mail accounts. The social gamers have taken center stage. Facebook now tops Google+. E-readers surpass book readers. If Facebook were a country, it would be the third largest in the world (after China and India). Now at 93 percent, almost all marketers use social media for business. Eighty percent of companies use Facebook for recruiting. Kindergarten children learn on iPads, not chalk boards. One-in-five couples meets on line. For gays, it's three-in-five....

Cisco Systems (CSCO) fell 12% just after Thursday's open, a day after reporting lower Q2 earnings and issuing a weak Q3 profit outlook. Smaller, more nimble rivals like Riverbed Technology (RVBD) and EZchip Semiconductor (EZCH) are thriving as cloud computing fuels the need for more and faster network gear. Meanwhile the tech darling of the 1990s is beginning to resemble discounter Kmart (SHLD) in the 1980s, which lost its industry leadership to Wal-Mart (WMT) long before Sam Walton had more sales.

The Air Force is warning its troops to be careful when using Facebook and other popular networking sites because some new features could show the enemy exactly where U.S. forces are located in war zones. In a warning issued on its internal website earlier this month, the Air Force said that "careless use of these services by airmen can have devastating operations security and privacy implications." The message was also sent to senior commanders, who were asked to get the word out to their forces. The sites are a concern for U.S military services, which have 95,000 troops in Afghanistan...

After fighting with my wireless connections between my Vista and my friend's Windows Seven pc, I discovered Network Magic. I installed the trial version of the program which is up in two more days and now, I'm looking for a similar 'free' program. Everything has run smoothly since I have been using the program 'but' I am really not in a position to shell out the $50.00 that it will cost after the trial period is over. Hoping that someone has run across a similar program? It would be well worth the cost if I could afford it right now!...

ATLANTA (Reuters) - U.S. health authorities are turning to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter in a bid to prepare people to be vaccinated against the pandemic H1N1 virus. But efforts to distribute accurate information about the dangers of swine flu and the importance of vaccination are hampered by the sheer complexity of the message that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention aims to convey. For a start, the vaccine will not be ready for widespread distribution until mid-October, after the traditional flu season has begun. The U.S. government hopes to target around 50 percent of...
