Heard today in Bible class that a missionary we support is saying that many muslims are having dreams of Jesus and in the dreams are being told to seek out a preacher to tell them about Jesus. Anyone else having missionaries telling them this?

Islamists say the Koran is destined to rule America. In fact, the Muslim takeover of the White House is not just an unfolding action plan but a directive from Muhammad himself. In an interview Sunday on ABC's "This Week," British radical Muslim activist Anjem Choudary made clear what he and his Islamist brothers have planned for the West. "We do believe, as Muslims, the East and the West will one day be governed by the Shariah," he said. "Indeed, we believe that one day, the flag of Islam will fly over the White House." He then quoted a hadith, or...

My favorite headline of the year so far comes from the Daily Mail in Britain: "Government Renames Islamic Terrorism As anti-Islamic Activity' To Woo Muslims." Her Majesty's government is not alone in feeling it's not always helpful to link Islam and the, ah, various unpleasantnesses with suicide bombers and whatnot. Even in his cowboy Crusader heyday, President Bush liked to cool down the crowd with a lot of religion-of-peace stuff. But the British have now decided that kind of mealy-mouthed "respect" is no longer sufficient. So, henceforth, any terrorism perpetrated by persons of an Islamic persuasion will be designated "anti-Islamic...

Last Friday the CT Blog revealed how a delegation of Danish Muslims, led by Copenhagen imam Abu Laban, toured the Middle East in December and showed fabricated cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed in a very offensive fashion, even though the pictures had never appeared on Jyllands Posten. The controversy has now exploded in Denmark. Friday night Danish public television, DR, ran two interesting stories about Abu Laban, the man who organized the delegation's trip to the Middle East. While the first profiled him, showing his extensive links to the Egyptian group Gamaa Islamiya, the second showed his double-talk. Abu Laban,...
  • Victims of Spousal Abuse Prefer Silence (Saudi Arabia)

JEDDAH, 19 May 2004 — Although the case of Rania Al-Baz brought a whirlwind of media attention to the issue of spousal abuse in Saudi Arabia, most victims remain silent. Perhaps more abused women will be encouraged to speak out now that people are talking about the issue, but unless steps are taken to protect the victims, not much will change for these women. They often have nowhere to go, no one to take care of the children, and they worry what will people say about them if they get a divorce. “The last thing they think about is themselves,...
