Where is Hillary Clinton? Where is Obama? Why are they not telling the rioters to stop it and to go home? Clinton must tell the rioters to stop.

Please post your gratitude and tribute to LS, our in-house intellectual leader, analyst, and utterly fearless observer and historian! And for many of us, we would add personal counselor as he talked a lot of us off the edge with his observations!

Dear Trump Supporters, You say you don't support Ted Cruz because he's a liar (even though he backs up everything he says) and plays dirty politics (like sabotaging Dr Carson's run in Iowa). The former has been dealt with every time it's brought up. I want to deal with the latter definitively. You say that Ted Cruz deliberately sabotaged Dr Carson in Iowa. However, it has been shown conclusively that Ted's team got the information from CNN who got the information from Dr Carson's team. If that hurt Dr Carson's results... show me one person who changed his vote because...

What is going on the past few weeks? We have a torpedoed South Korean ship, a mysterious explosion in the Gulf of Mexico on an oil rig, a failed bomb attempt in NY city, and now a failed bomb attempt in Pittsburgh.
  • Bush's fake gasoline shortage

Americans pay some of the highest wholesale gasoline prices in the world. Don't believe me, go here. http://tonto.eia.doe.gov/dnav/pet/pet_pri_spt_s1_d.htm Look for prices in Rotterdam and Singapore, before taxes. The price being twenty or so cents higher in the US, as compared to Europe or Asia, is for a reason. US laws make the US formulations, unusual by world standards, less popular with non-US refineries. Refiners in the US face reduced overseas competition. Windfall, at your expence. It doesn't cost that much more to make, but they can charge more because of the artificial shortage. I'm getting tired of hearing about the...

Put it here and keep it out of the threads.I don't think anyone finds it funny anymore. Someone please, add Bush's Fault to Lake Superior State University list of blacklisted words. Face the music. It's time you bite the bullet and go back to the drawing board to find something more cutting edge. No pennies for your thoughts, just better late than never because your beating a dead horse beyond the shadow of a doubt.
  • How to make money in a falling housing market?

In case you have been living in a cave, the business news talking heads have been prognosticating a burt to the housing bubble. Set aside your opinions for a moment and lets work a thought exercise. So, lets assume that there is a housing bubble and that it is going to burts. 1) What would be the key pre-indicators that would signal a price downturn. 2) How could a person capitalize on the price bust during the start of the fall? 3) What can be done with other less liquid assets to protect them from any such burts? Would you...

  • Vanity: Why Gonzales may be nominated (BE AFRAID!)

    06/22/2005 6:16:30 PM PDT · by watsonfellow · 48 replies · 1,088+ views
There are a few reasons why I don't think Bush would nominate Gonzales to the SC next week (to replace O'Connor or Reinquist). 1) It would shift the court from a 2/7 female/male split to a 1/8. This would be bad politics, because, for better or worse, those two seats are "female" seats (just like Thomas's seat is the "African American" seat and for decades we had a "Jewish" seat). 2) It would anger the conservative base to a degree I don't think we've seen before. If Rove's goal was to lose Congress in 2006, then this would be one...

If Drudge is right that the Pentagon is planning to dump more abuse photos from Abu Ghraib, there is no use --we should just surrender. If I had a loved one in harm's way, I'd tell them to desert. We can't win a war this way. Our media and governmanetal elites simply won't let us win this war. Bush is too weak and the Republicans in Congress are intimidated by the big Beltway Media. The grunt and the Average patriotic American doesn't have anybody fighting for them. There is no mass movement to defend the honor of the American military...
  • Dems reject Iraq vote. Claim bombs undercounted.

Claiming that "every bomb needs to be counted", Democrats today claimed that Iraq vote was invalid. "The vast undercount of suicide bombs gave the people the false impression that the were secure in voting, casuing a vast turnout that tipped the election", said a spokesperson from the party. They claim to have found over 200 duds that failed to ignite and say these should have been included in the total mayhem reports during the day. One sized vests that did not fit women and children was also mentioned as an example of unfair discrimination.

Pardon Graner Now that the media has inundated the world with all the sordid images and details of the "Abu Ghraib Prison Abuse Scandal", and now that Spc. Charles Graner has been found guilty of these so-called "abuses", we should all feel better, right? After all, America has done all she can to prove to the Arab street just how sensitive and caring she is, right? Pardon my French, but this is a bunch of BS! I don't know what kind of goods we're being sold, but I ain't buying and neither should you. War is hell and bad things...

No No, All of the people in the picture survived. This due to quick acting by-standers who immediately helped two people with mouth2mouth but all others did not need help, but rather minor medical attention to cuts and bruises. The cameraman on the van/truck survived as well.
  • (Vanity) Is an Macintosh Laptop Good, Does It Run Windows Apps

I just got screwed by Dell trying to buy one of their laptops. It seems they are out of Pentium M chips and won't tell their customers, so my wife’s Christmas present is doomed. I am now looking at maybe a 17" wide Apple laptop for the wife. If it can run windows applications, even remotely well, I might just buy one. This is a Christmas present, so I am REALLY short on time here, and this is a great place to ask. There is also an Apple store near my house. Buying over the Internet from Dell is unreliable....

"So far, we have gotten calls from as far away as California from people wanting boots for the Inauguration," said Walter Pie, president of the Pinto Ranch Fine Western Wear, just down the road from where former President George Bush lives in Houston. "Especially from women." "The boots sell for between $1,000 and $3,000, with the all-alligator skin model going for $6,000." Indeed!! How can we as a Nation look ourselves in the mirror while plans are coming together to squander millions and millions of dollars -- both public and private -- on galas; parades; travel, meal, and lodging expenses;...
