Jan. 31 (UPI) -- A Florida man was arrested after deputies discovered he was smuggling 24 gallons of moonshine whiskey disguised as water. The Alachua County Sheriff's Office said the Domestic Highway Enforcement Task Force pulled over Joe Edwards II, 44, a Miami resident with a Georgia driver's license, on southbound Interstate 75, near Micanopy. Police said they discovered 24 gallon bottles of moonshine in the in the front seat and trunk of the car that had been labeled as water. {..snip..}

Moonshiners TV star Steven Ray Tickle has been arrested for public intoxication while allegedly needing to be carried away to a city jail. The 35-year-old known by just his surname of Tickle was arrested last week after a citizen complained of a man seen sitting in a parking lot drinking from an open container. Police reporting to Charley's Stop and Shop in Danville, Virginia on Thursday afternoon say they found Tickle drinking alone in a parked car while also smelling of alcohol.
