Hollywood mogul Tyler Perry is blaming “greedy” insurance companies instead of California Democrats for people losing their homes and not having fire insurance. “Watching a daughter use a garden hose to try and protect her 90-year-old parents’ home because their insurance was canceled was just gut-wrenching to me,” Perry wrote on Instagram. “Does anyone else find it appalling that insurance companies can take billions of dollars out of communities for years and then, all of a sudden, be allowed to cancel millions of policies for the very people they became rich on?” “People who have paid premiums all of their...

Ted Turner, the media mogul and cable news trailblazer, revealed in an interview set to air this weekend that he’s coping with a brain disease known as Lewy body dementia. Turner, 79, opened up to “CBS Sunday Morning” at his 113,000-acre ranch near Bozeman, Mont., saying while his disease isn’t fatal like Alzheimer’s, it leaves him tired, exhausted and, most of all, forgetful. “It’s a mild case of what people have as Alzheimer’s. It’s similar to that. But not nearly as bad. Alzheimer’s is fatal,” Turner told CBS. “Thank goodness I don’t have that. But, I also have got, let’s...

Los Angeles (AFP) - Rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight was taken to hospital for the third time in less than a month Monday, as he made his latest appearance in court. The 49-year-old, who has complained of medical problems since he was arrested in late January over a fatal hit-and-run incident, said he has lost 35 pounds in weight and is blind in one eye. "At this time, I don't know if I can proceed," he told LA Superior Court judge James Brandlin at Monday's hearing, which was cut short after Knight said he had fired his attorneys. Knight was...

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Former hip-hop music mogul Marion "Suge" Knight was charged Monday with murder and attempted murder after he struck two men with his pickup truck last week. Prosecutors allege that Knight intended to run down a friend and another man after an argument on a movie set. One of the men was killed. Attorney James Blatt says Knight accidentally ran over the men on Thursday as he tried to escape a vicious attack. He turned himself in to police on Friday. Knight's initial bail of $2 million was revoked Monday after a court commissioner agreed with authorities...

JERUSALEM — Sheldon G. Adelson is perhaps best known as a conservative casino mogul who spent tens of millions of dollars last year trying to defeat President Obama. But he is a larger-than-life lightning rod in Israel, too. He owns the largest-circulation newspaper here, a right-leaning tabloid which he calls “fair and balanced” but which some competitors denounce as speeding the decline of good journalism. He has sprinkled $200 million across the state’s hospitals, museums and universities. He is married to an Israeli, and close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The company has a multi-billion dollar agreement the Israel Electric Corporation (IEC). Last month, a major agreement was also signed between EMG and Israel Corporation Ltd., Israel's largest holding company.

...five well-known Hollywood Democrats -- David Geffen, Bob Iger, Peter Chernin, Haim Saban, and Ari Emanuel -- are hosting a November 4 fundraiser for Ari's brother Rahm Emanuel in his bid to become Chicago's next mayor. Rahm, a former Democratic U.S. Representative from Illinois' 5th Congressional District (2003-2009), resigned as President Obama's White House Chief Of Staff on October 1 to throw his hat into the mayoral race following the retirement of Richard M. Daley whose last name more or less owned that political office the way most families would takeover the dining table. The Hollywood fundraiser will be held...

Another “think tank,” this one called the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding (ISPU), has come out for total civilian disarmament and repeal of the Second Amendment. What’s new about that? ISPU is openly pro-Muslim, and the ISPU writer is a criminal defense attorney who argues for repealing parts of the Bill of Rights. You can read the whole article, entitled “In the Fight Against Terrorism, Some Rights Must Be Repealed,” by Junaid Afeef, on the ISPU website: http://www.ispu.us/pages/articles/2914/articleDetailPB.html A JPFO supporter sent us the link, and we did read the article, looking for: a. Inaccurate “facts” b. Missing data...
