I finally got around to reading this week's issue of TV Guide. Pg. 46: Left-wing poop drama "Mister Sterling" has not been renewed. Also, Ted Danson (he and his wife, Mary Steenburgen, are major Clinton brown-nosers)'s show "Becker" has not been renewed, but could return in mid-season. With The West Wing's ratings dropping and Sorkin leaving, The West Wing could be the next show gone.

I recently watched the debut episode of NBC’s political show, "Mister Sterling." The program is supposed to be about a young, idealistic appointee to the U.S. Senate from California. However, this is increasingly going to be the kind of drivel that the networks will force feed you now that their useful idiots have "reformed" campaign finance. The character, portrayed by Barbra Streisand’s stepson, Josh Brolin, is supposed to be a man of great principle. However, you could not tell it from the show’s debut. Sterling would have only appeared principled if you compared his activities with that of the current...

In an interview Friday night on MSNBC's Hardball, which aired after the EST/CST debut of Mr. Sterling, NBC's new show about an appointed U.S. Senator from California, Chris Matthews asked the man who plays Sterling, actor Josh Brolin: “Do you think that George W. Bush is a good President, Senator Sterling?”       Brolin, answering for his character, snapped: “N–O.”     During the debut episode the character largely affirmed his liberalness. Reading a chart with a breakdown of constituent mail, Brolin as “Sterling” reported: “2,387 in favor of a capital gains tax cut, 1,949 opposed. And one undecided.”      Press Secretary “Jackie...

Who says network television never does anything worthwhile? Just look at the way NBC and CBS have teamed up to stimulate Miami's economy by giving you two good reasons to go out Friday night and hit the restaurants or bars or crack houses -- anything but stay home and watch TV. Mister Sterling is a political drama (well, NBC says it's apolitical, or even anti-political, but we'll get to that in a second) trying to surf the waves of The West Wing. Queens Supreme is a courtroom drama trying to not be as relentlessly stupid as the CBS show it...
