This past weekend at New York Comic-Con, Beavis and Butt-Head creator Mike Judge presented the inaugural public screening of his classic animation's rebooted first episode.

Proving once again its claim to the hotly contested title of Stupidest Television Network, ABC has canceled “The Goode Family” and “Surviving Suburbia,” continuing their business strategy of desperately trying new things and failing to give them a chance to succeed. No wonder the cab/sat USA Network actually beat ABC (and the CW network) in the national ratings last week. USA’s formula of original series with unusual but likable characters and sound values carries consistently impressive audience appeal.

Life's not easy if you're an organic-eating, tree-hugging, SUV-eschewing, carbon-footprintless, gender-identity-indifferent, diversity-celebrating, nonjudgmental (well, except for those damn U.S. flag pins) vegan pacifist. Just ask Gerald and Helen Goode, the First Couple of PC America. They forget to check a box when adopting an African baby, and when little Ubuntu arrives, he's a white South African. They cart home free elephant dung from Barnum & Bailey for their organic garden, then remember that the circus exploits animals. Just came back from the movie theater from seeing Idiocracy. It is directed by Mike Judge and had limited release due to offending some people and litigations filed by Costco, Fuddruckers, and Starbucks. It almost got shelved for good as a result. Actually, it is a really funny movie. Private Joe Bowers and a prostitute named Rita are frozen and are forgotten and fast forward to 500 years later. America has gotten dumber. All the dumb people reproduce like rabbits. The world is infested with litter and people are dumb. Bowers and Rita are the smartest. The world reminds me...

Tonight, my wife and I were watching Fox's Sunday Night lineup. An ad comes on with Boomhauser (from Mike Judge's King of the Hill talking about the evils of smoking from thetruth.com. I thought Judge was one of us, but it seems he sold out to the liemongers who got their money by breaking the anti-tobacco settlement. I wish I had an email address for Judge. That's the last King of the Hill, I watch. I'm going to go have a cigarette.
