JEFFERSON CITY — As reported on the Mother Ship this morning, state Rep. Michael Corcoran, D-St. Ann, has been charged with drunk driving related to a traffic stop that occurred on Feb. 6 in St. Louis County. Corcoran’s attorney says he’ll fight the charge. But just facing the charge doesn’t bode well for Corcoran’s political future. Corcoran is one of three Democrats who has announced his intention to run for the 24th District state Senate seat in 2010. The seat is currently occupied by Sen. Joan Bray, D-University City.
