Dollar Tree is planning to lock up some of its merchandise and may discontinue the sale of certain products, as theft makes a dent in the company’s profit margins. Richard Dreiling, Dollar Tree’s CEO, said on a call with analysts Thursday that the company is introducing new measures in the second half of the year to combat “shrink,” or the loss of inventory from theft and other causes. “We are now taking a very defensive approach to shrink,” Dreiling said, noting that such inventory losses “advanced a little further than what we had anticipated.” Dollar Tree and Family Dollar, both...

Target started to see a significant decline in its stock shares as a result of mounting backlash and widespread calls for a boycott over its satanic and woke LGBT children’s merchandise.Target’s massive ‘Pride’ Section, devoted to trans and LGBTQ kids’ clothing including “tuck-friendly swimwear for kids” and chest binders, is displayed at the front of each store nationwide.

You'd think Target would have learned its lesson.Back in 2006, I wrote an editorial at Investor's Business Daily criticizing its wokester Che Guevara merchandise selection, prompting the company to pull the merchandise nationally. The Reuters photo of what happened is here. If that wasn't enough for them, and the old corporate memory is gone, there are numerous cases of "go woke, go broke" among other corporations that tried to foist woke merchandise on the public, culminating in the Bud Light fiasco, which could have reminded them. Or, they could have checked out what was left on the Target clearance shelves of...

Chinese and U.S. officials estimated the value of the package at nearly $70 billion in the first year. President Donald Trump has...

Where do all those Jeb!-festooned tees, cufflinks, and yard signs go when the game is lost? To the Girl Scouts, obviously. Last week, Hammerstone, a company that sells tchotchkes and apparel—you know, like golf shirts festooned with corporate logos—sent out a rather curious email. Hammerstone, which sometimes works with political campaigns, wrote to announce it had on hand a heft of surplus gear from the presidential campaigns of Jeb(!) Bush and Marco Rubio. The items for sale, the email noted, included such indispensables as Criquet polo shirts, cufflinks, challenge coins, and drinkware, all emblazoned with the logos of two long-defunct...

Hillary Clinton didn’t win the presidential election, but your wallet can still “win” thanks to this amazing clearance sale on Hillary campaign merchandise. The Clinton campaign, which presumably has some debt it would like to retire, sent out an email Wednesday notifying supporters of this hot opportunity to “stand with Democrats” by purchasing some “deeply discounted items” from the campaign shop.

Donald Trump isn’t all that popular with young voters. And he’s definitely not popular with college students hipster crowd. So on that front, it’s probably not a surprise Philadelphia-based Urban Outfitters has just started carrying some t-shirts and coffee mugs that are anti-Trump and favor Democrats Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. The retailer is used to controversy. The Navajo Nation — which stretches across northeastern Arizona and northwestern New Mexico — has been fighting Urban Outfitters in court over the retailer’s use of the Navajo name on some of its products. Its customer base probably like Navajos more than Trump....

Every year, as October comes around, many breast cancer victims like me find themselves inwardly groaning. How can efforts purportedly for our benefit be so tragically off the mark, and even immoral? Yet every year, it seems that the public is somehow transported into a fake pink world of good intentions.Instead of telling you my particular story, or that of my daughter, IÂ’d like to share some thoughts and facts with you. Perhaps, slowly, we can get the charitable care of cancer victims out of the merchandising field and into the human support arena. Most of all, I urge you...

Brockton cops and Homeland Security raided a strip club authorities say was peddling fake Red Sox and Patriots gear in exchange for lap dances and seized the counterfeit goods — part of a growing problem that one expert says is not necessarily a victimless crime. Employees at the Foxy Lady Brockton were wearing some of the knock-off sports teams shirts when investigators showed up for the strip club sweep Friday afternoon and found about $10,000 worth of counterfeit gear, said Brockton police Lt. Paul Bonanca. “We seized various boxes of sports shirts,” Bonanca said. “The same jerseys sometimes sell for...
