A House committee probing the ongoing border crisis has subpoenaed Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra for information about tens of thousands of unaccompanied migrant children who have disappeared inside the US. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-Tenn.) compelled Becerra, in a Thursday cover letter exclusively obtained by The Post that accompanied the subpoena, to hand over documents related to the “vetting, screening, and monitoring” of migrant sponsors by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).... HHS officials have stalled for more than a month and a half after the Homeland Security panel initially requested the records on...

The wife of the chairman of the powerful House Homeland Security Committee said he filed for divorce last month after having an affair with a younger woman, The Post has learned. Camie Green accused her husband, Rep. Mark Green (R-Tenn.), of “having an affair with a 32 year old woman” in a group text sent Wednesday to other lawmakers that was reviewed by The Post. “I have offered reconciliation, and he wants nothing of it and has insisted on a divorce,” she said in the message, which a congressional aide told The Post was also forwarded via email to offices...

Article Dig Deeper House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green on Sunday demanded documents and a briefing from the Department of Homeland Security following the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. "The Committee is grateful for the swift response of Secret Service agents to protect President Trump from further harm and quickly neutralize the shooter, though tragically one rally attendee was killed, and two others have been critically injured," the Tennessee congressman said in his letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

House Homeland Security Chair Mark Green (R-Tenn.) announced he will not be seeking a fourth term in Congress. This decision follows his prominent role in leading the impeachment efforts against Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Green released a powerful retirement statement criticizing the Washington elites and explaining his decision to retire from Congress. “At the start of the 118th Congress, I promised my constituents to pass legislation to secure our borders and to hold Secretary Mayorkas accountable. Today, with the House having passed H.R. 2 and Secretary Mayorkas impeached, it is time for me to return home....

The Rinos are running away now as fast as they can. I am not surprised. I have seen this before close up in 2016. They are afraid of having to serve with President Trump because they know that what they have done is risky at best --- and Trump may raise the issues. So many in DC are compromised, and they don't want it public. Better to "retire" because they "want to spend more time with the family" than have the nation privy to their dirty laundry. Everyone bailing now is suspect as far as I'm concerned.

Border chief Alejandro Mayorkas should be impeached for refusing to enforce Congress’ border laws, said Rep. Mark Green (R-TN), the GOP chairman of the House homeland security committee. Green laid out the charges during a morning hearing on April 19, as Democrats defended Mayorkas with a fog of praise and pleas for more migration into the jobs and homes needed by Americans: Mr. Secretary, you took an oath where you swore to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and to faithfully discharge the duties of the office. Your job is to...

Far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene plunged a House Homeland Security Committee hearing into chaos Wednesday by accusing Rep. Eric Swalwell of having a “sexual relationship with a Chinese spy” — leading Democrats to unsuccessfully demand that the remark be purged from the record. Greene (R-Ga.) made the comment moments after Swalwell accused her of “anti-police rhetoric” and showed a print-out of a tweet she wrote promoting “Defund the FBI” merchandise in response to purported bureau bias. “That was quite entertaining from someone that had a sexual relationship with a Chinese spy — and everyone knows it,” Greene shot back, referring...

Democrat Joe Biden has caused such a disaster on the Southern Border that Texas Democrats want President Donald J. Trump’s policies back, they want his leadership and they are fleeing the Democrat Party over it. And along the way, at least two former Democrat judges are declaring that the border is such a disaster it is an official illegal ‘invasion’. Though Texas has been getting ‘Operation Lone Star money’ for over a year, the debate over immigration policies has become more heated recently as Democrat County Judge Cinderela Guevara joined Republican judges and issued a formal declaration of “invasion” by...

'To enable a uniformed force to fight with discipline, commanders must have the ability to give orders and take appropriate disciplinary measures.' The Pentagon ordered all service members to get vaccinated last month and didn't rule out court martialing those who don't. More than 800,000 service members out of around 1.4 million still needed to get their shots at the time of the mandate, according to Pentagon data. But during the budget bill's markup under the House Armed Services Committee, an amendment, now section 716, proposed by Rep. Mark Green, R-Tenn., made its way into the bill that prohibited 'any...

Rep. Mark Green (R-Tenn.) is set to introduce a bill to help companies move their manufacturing from China to the United States as momentum builds for the country to “decouple” from the Chinese regime as a result of the pandemic. Green told The Epoch Times that his forthcoming bill would allow firms to deduct the entire cost of capital spending associated with relocating from China—known as “immediate expensing”—to lure companies to move to the United States. The bill would pay for this with money collected from U.S. tariffs on Chinese imports, he proposed. The idea of covering 100 percent of...

WASHINGTON—Federal Election Commission (FEC) Chairman Ellen Weintraub’s renewed feud with President Donald Trump over voter fraud allegations from the 2016 election has the ranking House Committee on Administration Republican asking some pointed questions about excessive partisanship within the regulatory panel. “Recently, I believe this tone of partisanship has been amplified by some at the Commission,” Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) said in a letter to the FEC’s leadership made public Tuesday. “Partisan attacks only serve to undermine your work and the work of the entire Commission staff,” Davis said. He was writing on behalf of the three Republicans on the Administration...

We've recently reported on the Democrats' intentions of trying to expand the Supreme Court in hopes of getting revenge on Mitch McConnell. The Senate Majority Leader blocked President Obama nominee Merrick Garland, who he intended to replace the late Antonin Scalia. McConnell kept the seat open for President Trump to appoint a more conservative individual. And then another after that. With the Court now clearly skewed to the right, progressives have begun to seriously consider upending the norm. "Given the Merrick Garland situation, the question of legitimacy is one that I think we should actually talk about," Holder said earlier this...

Senator Bob Corker was greeted Friday morning with another withering rebuke by President Trump, in response to a series of criticisms hailed at the President over the past ten days, for which Corker – who is up for re-election by Trump-friendly Tennesseans next year – staunchly “stands by.” Meanwhile, State Senator Mark Green’s (R-Clarksville) refusal to rule out a run against the struggling incumbent could signal re-consideration to challenge to Corker in the 2018 Republican primary. “I’ve already told Senator Corker my thoughts about his comments about the President and that’s as far as I intend to go at this point,”...

Full title: State Department lawyers removing references to ISIS 'genocide' against Christians, other religious minorities The State Department's top lawyers are systematically removing the word "genocide" to describe the Islamic State's mass slaughter of Christians, Yazidis, and other ethnic minorities in Iraq and Syria from speeches before they are delivered and other official documents, according to human rights activists and attorneys familiar with the policies. Additionally, Democratic senators are delaying confirmation of Mark Green, Trump's pick to head the U.S. Agency for International Development who has broad bipartisan support. These efforts guarantee that Obama-era policies that worked to exclude Iraq's...

Mark Green, a former US ambassador to Tanzania, will need to see through huge funding cuts after receiving the presidential nod to lead USAid Donald Trump has achieved what could be seen as a first under his presidency: choosing someone to lead a government agency who has met with bipartisan approval. Trump has nominated Mark Green, a former congresssman and one-time US ambassador to Tanzania who has worked under both the Obama and George W Bush administrations, to lead the US Agency for International Development (USAid). In what could be one of the toughest jobs in Trump’s government, Green will...

Last week President Trump made the following promise to the nation: “We will not allow people of faith to be targeted, bullied or silenced anymore,” the president said. “We will never ever stand for religious discrimination.” He made that statement last Thursday. The following day, the president’s nominee for Army Secretary withdrew his nomination. I’m not going to pull any punches, folks. Dr. Green was bullied and forced out by a mob of militant gays, Muslims and Democrats. Dr. Green blamed his decision on what he called false and misleading attacks. “Tragically, my life of public service and my...

The Kool Aid appears to still be on tap at the Pentagon and in the Beltway… I thought things would be different with this administration and with General Mad Dog Mattis at the helm. I still have faith in him, but my hope is dwindling. Every day, little bits and pieces of evidence are accumulating that the Pentagon PC insanity so prevalent and so destructive during the Obama years will roll on like a giant tsunami, until the US military is shattered into a thousand pieces. Today, State Senator Dr. Mark Green of Tennessee was forced to withdraw his nomination...

President Donald Trump's choice for Army secretary announced Friday that he is withdrawing his name from consideration. "It is with deep regret today I am withdrawing my nomination to be the Secretary of the Army," Mark Green said in a statement. On Tuesday, CNN reported that the nomination was in serious jeopardy, and he could be withdrawing as soon as this week, three sources familiar with the matter told CNN. The decision by Green, Trump's second pick for the post, came after his nomination ran into trouble following a backlash after past controversial statements on LGBT issues, Islam and evolution...
