A controversy over words at BYU this morning. A professor is on paid leave for suggesting the government is responsible for the destruction of the World Trade Center. The man on paid leave is Dr. Steven Jones. He's a physics professor involved in the so-called "9-11 Truth Movement." Jones believes unnamed government agencies orchestrated the fall of the twin towers and he says there's evidence to back it up. Two weeks ago he published his theory in a paper called "Why Indeed did the World Trade Center Buildings Collapse?" In it, the professor says the towers fell not because of...

With meek and spineless Democrats incapable of putting up anything more than a holographic opposition to the fascist BushCo regime, aging progressives like me are wondering if we’re gonna be forced to spend the rest of our more-than-half-lived lives watching moronic and myopic BushCo regressives and their ideologically twisted descendants kill, maim, and tax-cut their way to universal one-party American political rule. When the best Dems have to offer is the ‘angry’ Hillary Clinton or a recycled John Kerry, surely all hope is lost. There’s little chance I’d vote for Clinton after her hawkish stance on the war and the...

Carl Sheeler, 45, a Democrat, business owner and Marine Veteran, is seeking Lincoln Chafee's seat as well as seeking to unseat "King George" for alleged violations of the US Constitution. Sheeler alleges that, among other things, he has lied to the public and damaged foreign relations and our Democracy. Providence, RI (PRWEB) February 2, 2006 -- Democrat U.S. Senate candidate, Carl Sheeler, 45, an outspoken, 70’s style Democrat, called on Rhode Island Congressional leaders to join US Representative Conyers (D-MI) in his call for impeachment hearings of President George W. Bush. Sheeler has stated Bush’s infractions are far more egregious...

Remember that big terrorist attack on the Super Bowl last night? Well, it is all the fault of Karl Rove according to the DUmmies as you can see in this THREAD which dares to ask, "Is Karl Rove Planning a Terror Attack on the Super Bowl?" And who was the far out wacko DUmmie nutcase who came up with this theory? Well, don't blame your run-of-the-mill far out wacko DUmmie nutcase. The author of this piece of "brilliance" is none other than Bob Fertik of Democrats.Com who is considered a "mainstream" Democrat Blogger by much of the Mainstream Media....

The fact that the great majority of those seeking refuge and rescue were African-American, and that no help came in the first five or six days, spoke volumes about the "compassionate conservatism" supposedly animating Bush's administration........ Here's something I don't understand. The Golden Goose was about to lay another 9/11-type Golden Egg for Bush&Co. to pick up. And they didn't. Surely, Karl Rove, who had seen Bush's approval ratings drop to all-time lows, knew days ahead that a Category 5 Hurricane was bearing down on New Orleans and a calamitous disaster was likely to unfold there if and when the...

CRAWFORD, Texas (AP) - The angry mother of a fallen U.S. soldier staged a protest near President Bush's ranch Saturday, demanding an accounting from Bush of how he has conducted the war in Iraq. Supported by more than 50 demonstrators who chanted, "W. killed her son!" Cindy Sheehan told reporters: "I want to ask the president, 'Why did you kill my son? What did my son die for?'" Sheehan, 48, didn't get to see Bush, but did talk about 45 minutes with national security adviser Steve Hadley and deputy White House chief of staff Joe Hagin, who went out to...

Theorists bent on exposing falsehoods in The 9/11 Commission Report maintain the attacks were a conspiracy led by the Bush administration, as UW-Madison students heard Monday at an event sponsored by the Muslim Jewish Christian Alliance for 9/11 Truth. The event, broadcast on C-SPAN, featured Christian theologist David Griffin, Ph.D, and his interpretations of the alleged Sept. 11 conspiracy theory. Griffin's speech addressed his own compiled evidence that suggests the attacks were not only known about by the United States government and military, but orchestrated in order to expand an "American empire" allegedly based on oil and power. "Immediately after...

"Now You Know, Part I: What Is A Moonbat"People often ask me where the phrase Moonbat originated. I usually reply to them "buy me another drink or three and I'll tell you about it." Here is the condensed version (you can start stirring the martinis now, if you please - thank you). You know what the moon is, right? That big silver ball in the night sky? That neighboring planetoid that a million songs have been written about? The place Neil Armstrong took a giant leap? Home of the Reverend Sun Myung Moon? Well, the ancient Latin word for moon...

An LGF operative who wishes to be known as ProtestWarrior sent me some jawdropping video of US House Representative Cynthia McKinney (D-Moonbat), giving a talk sponsored by International ANSWER in a small church. In the first video I’ll post at LGF, the subject is “voting,” as McKinney rants about the schemes perpetrated by the man: Just remember that in Florida 2000, the victims were black and Latino voters who were, who were, um, just so callously and openly denied the opportunity to cast their vote in a scheme that was cooked in a backroom by rich and powerful white people....

Darleen’s Place has photos from the San Diego Loon Convention, including this lovely lady with a purple middle finger, and a guy who looks like he could use a little starvation himself. I captured Her Gloriness just as she was lunging at our line of "USA USA" chanting patriots. But a really great frontal shot was had by Larry and is posted at Smash's place here. Smash is also starting to publish some of the transcripts of the "speeches" done at MoonbatTown where some of our number had blended into the attendees to capture it. Word was that the speeches...

TAMPA - A Tampa man is out of jail after a possible road rage incident that gives new meaning to the term "driving left of center." Nathan Winkler, 31, was arrested overnight and charged with aggravated stalking for allegedly terrorizing a mother and her two children. According to police, Winkler pulled up alongside Michelle Fernandez as she was headed south on Armenia and began beeping his horn and flailing his arms, pointing at her. Fernandez, meanwhile, could not see Winkler's face because of a handmade sign in his window that read, "Never forget Bush's illegal oil war murdered thousands in...

Teresa Heinz: Bush Win Suspicious Embittered first-lady wannabe Teresa Heinz is questioning whether President Bush's re-election victory last November was legitimate, saying that many of the country's voting machines could have been "hacked." "Two brothers own 80 percent of the machines used in the United States," Heinz told a lunch for Seattle Rep. Adam Smith on Saturday, referring to the brothers as "hard right" Republicans. She argued that it is "very easy to hack into the mother machines," in quotes picked up by the Seattle Post Intelligencer. "We in the United States are not a banana republic," added the Mozambican-born...

“They’re gonna make it look like suicide,” Hunter Thompson told his friend at the Toronto Globe. “I know how these bastards think.” A common misconception some are led to believe is that the mainstream press has a liberal bias. Those ascribing to the “liberal bias” myth believe the press will take any attempt to tarnish the President and other right-wingers credibility and reputations. If this were so, surely they would’ve picked up on the suspicious suicides of people pointing fingers at our government leaders — Hunter S. Thompson, Gary Webb, Terrance Yeakey and Margie Schoedinger. Ironically, all four lives ended...

More than 9 million people across the country are expected to watch Minneapolis resident Mina Leierwood make her television debut tonight on ABC's reality hit "Wife Swap." It's a strange move for a 39-year-old Quaker art teacher who doesn't watch TV. "I just figured that somebody had to step up and say how they felt," said Leierwood during an interview Tuesday morning at the MayDay Cafe in South Minneapolis. "I wanted to see a pacifist on TV." The producers of "Wife Swap," a show where two women from different mindsets trade families for two weeks, sought out Leierwood two days...

Maurice Hinchey, the far-left Demcorat who at a public forum in Ithaca over the weekend accused Karl Rove of planting the forged Rathergate documents, will be on Hannity and Colmes during this hour. I'm sorry to say that Hinchey is my congressman. This is the same guy who at the beginning of the Iraq war accused our military of committing 'massacres' in Iraq. I can confidently predict that Hinchey will not back down. He is a strutting little arrogant fellow. Keep your eyes peeled to see if the cameras show his feet - he likes to affect cowboy boots -...

WOODRUFF: As we reported a little while ago in our blog segment, the Internet is abuzz with reaction to comments by New York Democratic Congressman Maurice Hinchey. The congressman over the weekend shared his views about the now disputed CBS News report about President Bush's Air National Guard service. Representative Maurice Hinchey is with me now, he joins us from Albany, New York. Congressman Hinchey, what exactly did you say on Saturday at this town meeting in Ithaca? REP. MAURICE HINCHEY (D), NEW YORK: Well, Judy, what I said came in response to a question from one of my constituents....

saturday, february 19, 2005 Pathetically Cosmic Comedy at Kos A Kos Kid is connecting the dots and abusing the punctuation, in one of the best Daily Kos posts ever: Gannon scoop shows White House Forged TANG/CBS memos?!?! (Hat tip: Tim Blair.) It now appears that Jeff Gannon could be the thread that unravels the real story behind the TANG/CBS forgeries. I have put together a case here that if looked at carefully by the blogosphere would show that the TANG forgeries were made by the White House, probably Dan Bartlett, and then given to Bill Burkett by a former...

Garofalo: Fingers with ink comparable to Nazi salute Actress, liberal radio host calls Republican gesture 'disgusting' Posted: February 3, 2005 5:00 p.m. Eastern © 2005 WorldNetDaily.com Janeane Garofalo makes a Nazi salute on MSNBC to mock Republicans who dipped their fingers in paint Actress and liberal talk-radio host Janeane Garofalo is taking issue with congressional Republicans who dipped their fingers in ink for President Bush's State of the Union speech as a sign of solidarity with Iraqi voters, likening it to a Nazi salute. Garofalo actually made the salute last night as she provided post-speech commentary on MSNBC's "After Hours"...
