This is the awkward moment a drag queen named Pickle was stopped from entering a California library for a children's drag queen story hour by protestors. A group of at least 50 protestors showed up at the San Fernando Library to protest the event, labelled 'Drag Queen Storytime'. The event was to celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month, according to an event listing, and Pickle was to be joined by the 3rd District Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath. Due to the protesters blocking the drag queen from entering the building, the event was cancelled at the last minute. Video of Pickle being denied...

Joe Biden gifted $83 million in federal COVID-19 relief funds to Arizona State University (ASU) for the construction of a library honoring the late centrist Senator John McCain. The library will serve as the anchor to ASU’s future McCain Campus. The funds came from the American Rescue Plan, which was originally promised as a means of “delivering direct relief to the American people,” who sustained lasting financial and emotional strains endured by the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Capital Projects Fund under the American Rescue Plan will issue the funding. The $83 million is part of the $10...

WASHINGTON — When Colleen Shogan, the new archivist of the United States, pulled up in front of the Obama Presidential Library in Hoffman Estates for the first time, “I thought it looked like a wedding center.” The gray brick exterior of 2500 Golf Rd. in the northwest suburb, once a Plunkett Furniture showroom and warehouse, has decorative front and side portico entrances. But there’s no grand architectural detail or even a sign to suggest that inside, for the past seven years, it’s been the temporary home of the official Barack Obama Presidential Library. Shogan oversees the National Archives and Records...

The Communist head of the American Library Association (ALA) said that public schools and libraries need to be “sites of socialist organizing” at the Socialism 2023 conference in Chicago over the weekend. Self-avowed “Marxist Lesbian” Emily Drabinski was initially scheduled to be a featured speaker at the event, but her session was quietly canceled after conservative media publicized her Marxist leanings earlier this year, according to independent journalist Karlyn Borysenko, who infiltrated the event. The Socialist conference featured dozens of far-left speakers, including infamous communists Bill Ayers and Angela Davis. The schedule included panels on “Kids as Comrades”; “The Environmental...

CNN commentator Van Jones pointed out what he said was an aggressive approach by Fulton County, Ga., District Attorney Fani Willis (D) in indicting former President Trump and more than a dozen others in connection with his efforts to overturn the state’s 2020 election result. “Well, she didn’t throw the book at him, she threw the library. I think the difference between her approach and Jack Smith’s approach is really night and day,” Jones said during CNN’s live coverage of Monday night’s Trump indictment, his fourth this year. “So you have got a very different player that just stepped on...

A library in Alabama has reversed its decision from earlier this week to cancel a book reading event. It will now indeed welcome actor Kirk Cameron and his publisher, Brave Books, on Saturday, August 5, for the nationwide "See You at the Library" event. The Huntsville-Madison County Public Library System in Huntsville, Alabama, had said in a release on Wednesday afternoon that it would no longer accommodate the book reading event due to concerns about logistics and security as popularity for the event grew this week. Almost immediately afterward, Cameron and Brave Books challenged that decision to cancel it.

The Idaho Freedom Caucus calls upon the Idaho Commission for Libraries to end its membership and cut all ties with the Marxist-led American Library Association (ALA). We call on local public and school libraries to do the same. We have significant concerns about the election of Emily Drabinski, a self-described “Marxist lesbian,” as the next president of the ALA. Her election raises issues about libraries’ involvement in exposing children to explicit materials and injecting hard-left politics and sexuality into publicly funded libraries. With her election, have concerns about libraries’ adherence to their educational purpose and their responsible use of taxpayer...

On the evening of July 5, about 30 concerned parents and grandparents showed up at the Sonoma County commissioners meeting held at the Rohnert Park Library. About 20 of us spoke and stated why we were so opposed to their sponsoring and paying for the recent four drag story hours held on Fathers’ Day weekend. The story hours were sponsored and paid for by the Sonoma County Library Commission using our tax dollars to the tune of $500 per hour, thus $2,000 in total. By attending the meeting, we learned that, for the most part, the 10 commissioners agreed that...

VIDEO The media is very very desperately trying to make you forget that the Hazmat team audio at the scene of their discovery of cocaine in the White House specifically mentioned that it was found in the LIBRARY. Instead the media now wants you to believe the cocaine was found in "common area" of the West Wing that was "very busy" and chock full of tourists thus making it more difficult to find out who the perp was so please don't be disappointed when they don't find him because, as they keep repeating, it was a very very busy area...

When we first heard the story of a hazmat situation and the White House being evacuated on Sunday, we were told by the media that they’d found cocaine hydrochloride “near the White House.” Then it was described as being on the White House complex. That could be anywhere, including on the grounds. It was also described as “cocaine hydrochloride,” with suggestions it could be an anesthetic. Then came the report that it was in the White House library, which is on the ground floor of the executive mansion, according to the Washington Post. But now the Secret Service is contradicting that report...

As more and more parents and communities have begun paying attention to the “grooming” nature of LGBTQ books and other materials available to minors in school and public libraries, many of those parents and communities have pushed back against such grooming. In fact in towns, cities, counties, and states across America, policies, ordinances, and laws are being passed to protect children. But in contrast to good pushing back in those places, evil appears to be pushing forward in other places. And Illinois — famous for liberal policies that seem to constantly bring cities such as Chicago to the brink of...

A group of drag queens and activists dressed in black and white showed up on Friday at the Fayetteville Public Library in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to protest actor-writer Kirk Cameron’s story time event for families and children, according to book publisher Brave Books, whose staff were present at the reading. The drag queens blocked the views of some families and children and distracted others from the book reading and remarks from the stage, said Brave Books. The publisher shared photos taken by staff on the scene. Los Angeles-based Cameron, an outspoken Christian who has been traveling across the country to public...

In a meeting held on Wednesday, the Sumner County Library Board voted 4-3 to dismiss Hendersonville Public Library director Allan Morales, just weeks after Christian actor, writer, and producer Kirk Cameron headlined a story hour event at the library in February. Cameron’s story time event in Hendersonville was to promote his “As You Grow” book and part of his work with the conservative publishing company BRAVE Books to “win back Story Hour and stand up for truth and Biblical values.” Following Cameron’s appearance at the library with special guests Missy Robertson from Duck Dynasty, women’s sports advocate Riley Gaines, and...
