There is an outcry over a video of an NYPD officer taking down a bystander who was watching officers make an arrest for an apparent social distancing violation this weekend. A Virginia store clerk heard a crash that sounded like a car had crashed into the place at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday. The Lafayette Police Department and the Boulder County District Attorney’s office are asking the public for help in locating Francisco Barraza-Porras . . . Barraza-Porras, who was last known to be living in Lafayette, Colorado, was arrested Jan. 2 and charged with multiple counts of sexual assault on a child. Instead of keeping him in custody or handing him over to ICE, local law enforcement released him back into the public with an order to appear to appear before court on March 2. However, Barraza-Porras never showed up to his court date, and law enforcement doesn’t know where he is.

An off-duty Secret Service agent fatally shot a dog that charged at him in Brooklyn on Monday night, police said. After years of concern about the number of traffic accidents that occur in road construction zones, Pennsylvania is doing something about it.
