SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KRON) — Shelter in place orders are in effect across California to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Santa Cruz Police Chief Andrew Mills said his department arrested a group of people for violating shelter in place orders.
According to a tweet sent out by Mills, seven Fremont residents visited Santa Cruz to get some drinks. Each person was given a $1,000 ticket for shelter in place violations.
Very expensive drinks.
That’s about fifty miles out of their way to “get drinks.”
Hmm. my wife and I watched “The Great Escape” last night. The powers that be in Santa Cruz remind me of some of the characters from that... and I’m not talking Mcqueen or Garner...

Like I said earlier, I guarantee you that if somebody followed these cops after they got off work you will find at least half are violating this Social Distance Order AFTER HOURS at their buddies houses.
It’ll be interesting to see the results of the lawsuits that are going to be filed against government at all levels over these incidents in the years to come.

It’s very sad to note that despite clear and growing evidence to the contrary, there are more than a few on FR who remain rock-steady in their belief that our liberty has not been limited by the edicts and commands of faux-king governors and mayors particularly, though not limited to, in those states which are under the crushing hand of Democrat/Left-inspired tyranny.
