Guns and abortion. One is an enumerated, constitutional right, and the other is not. The Second Amendment guarantees the right of the people of the United States to keep and bear arms. It’s not a government-given right; it’s a natural right—the right to defend yourself, your family, and your freedom. In rare circumstances, abortion might be necessary to preserve the mother’s life. But there is no right to kill unborn babies in the U.S. Constitution. But 40 years ago next week the U.S. Supreme Court contended that abortion is an implied “right of privacy,” one that previously had lain hidden...

Okay, I see why some people would want to kill a fetus. Some believe he/she has no rights until he/she is viable. Others believe the mother’s right to do with her body as she pleases trumps everything. Reasons for wanting to kill a fetus vary from the most well-meaning (fetal deformity or life of the mother at stake) to the most evil (Just get rid of the thing!). But I’ll never understand why grown “feminist” women overtly cover up the rape of young girls. Yes, that is more puzzling to me than condoning the slaughter of an unborn child.

In what I thought was a parody interview, Michael Steele, head the of the Republican National Committee, the same man who failed to challenge a cable show host when he compared white Republicans to Nazis, told GQ magazine this: Why do you think so few nonwhite Americans support the Republican Party right now? ‘Cause we have offered them nothing! And the impression we’ve created is that we don’t give a damn about them or we just outright don’t like them. And that’s not a healthy thing for a political party. I think the way we’ve talked about immigration, the way...

On the morning of March 2, 1998, a loser named Patrick Kennedy brutally raped his wife’s eight-year-old daughter.Afterward, Kennedy called 911 and told the dispatcher that two black boys had raped the girl in the yard. Likely under threat by the rapist, she confirmed Kennedy’s story. The child’s injuries were extensive. According to the opinion, the victim’s “predominate injury was vaginal with profuse bleeding. Her entire perineum was torn and her rectum protruded into her vagina.†Dr. Scott Benton, who testified at the trial, said the girl’s injuries “were the most serious he had seen, within his four years of...

03.13.06 Homosexuals Arrested at Liberty University Homosexuals continue to equate perversion with black America’s struggle in the 1960s for equal rights. Highly offensive. But then again, they don’t care about offending me. An organization called Soulforce has formed a group to go on a 51-day tour of Christian and military colleges that oppose homosexual behavior. Members of the so-called Equality Rides travel to schools to “present a powerful case for GLBT equality.†For you virtual virgins, GLBT stands for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered. “Transgendered†is a euphemism for a man in a dress [or who thinks he should be...

03.02.06 Know Your Freedoms! Update III (3/3 @ 10:49 a.m.): I’m going to do something today that I haven’t done in a loooong time: go offline. I’ll check via the Treo periodically to approve comments caught in the moderation queue. Enjoy your freedom, and rest easy this weekend! ———————————————————————Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves. - Abraham Lincoln It matters little to me, in 2006, that some of the men who drafted the U.S. Constitution owned slaves or that none of them had people like me in mind when they drafted what is still and will...

For the past few days, I’ve been out of the political news-blogosphere loop, so I don’t know what’s going on. Let’s do something different: CONFESS! I suspect that most people, at one time or another, have lied on their resumes. I’ll tell you about one of my resume lies. When I first arrived in the nation’s capital back in 1998, I was using a resume with a big fat whopper on it. At that point I wasn’t using a computer regularly and didn’t own one. I’d prepared papers in some prehistoric form of MS Word while in school, but...

Randy Thomas, a former homosexual washed clean by the blood of Christ (!), reports that one of Exodus International’s billboards was defaced in St. Louis, Missouri. Randy is headed that way to attend a conference on Sunday called, Love Won Out. Pray for Randy and others attending the conference, especially those still in the lifestyle and seeking answers. “Ex-gay†folks are getting lots of threats.Related posts: Homosexual “Marriage” And Black VotersHomosexual Lobby Decides A Little Moderation Is In Order Addendum: Read Randy’s testimony.

WORK! Stop the presses!Someone finally said what needed to be said…publicly. During some government meeting in Houston, three New Orleans council members (guests?) said to “evacuees†what was on so many people’s minds: Get off your duffs and work. New Orleans doesn’t want its poorest residents back — unless they agree to work. That was the message from three New Orleans City Council members who said government programs have “pampered†the city’s residents for too long. (Source) Houston transplants who want to return to New Orleans got a dose of tough love. “We don’t need soap opera watchers right now,†said...

Where is the outrage that was manufactured to run Rush Limbaugh off the air? Is it absent because Gumbel is allegedly black? So just picture for a moment, if you will, that you're watching SportsCenter tonight and Dan Patrick says, "The lack of whites in the NBA makes it look like a welfare office." Think that would get buried like Gumbel's comments? For what it's worth, maybe Gumbel should do some research on the emerging face of the GOP.

Some cast aside traditional loyalties... Adam Hunter, an ambitious law student with bright eyes, an easy smile, and plenty of charisma, seems practically destined for politics... a first-year law student at Howard University, a historically black campus with a long record of liberal activism. He has political ambitions of his own -- but not with the Democrats. Instead, Hunter, who as an undergraduate headed Howard's chapter of College Republicans, sees himself as part of a younger generation of African-Americans. He is ready to cast aside traditional loyalties to the Democratic Party and forge his own political identity. ''There's a lot...

On January 8, 2006, I attended the Justice Sunday III conference at Greater Exodus Baptist Church, a predominantly black church in Philadelphia. Reverend Herbert Lusk preached passionately against abortion and called it murder. Today, I will attend the Blogs4Life Conference, then head to the National Mall for the March for Life rally. I hope to see a large number of the kind of people who nodded in agreement with Rev. Lusk’s sermon. Black women are three times as likely to have abortions as their white counterparts. Blacks and Hispanics are about 25 percent of the population, yet they account for...

For those of us in the information business, this is truly an earth-shaking time. Who would have imagined that the downfall of one of the world's most powerful news executives would be precipitated by an ordinary citizen blogging his eyewitness report at Davos in the wee hours of the morning on Jan. 27? It's simply stunning. The courage of Rony Abovitz cannot be overstated. This ordinary American citizen raised his voice at an international forum of media and political heavyweights--also attended by Europe's most influential America-haters--and demanded that Eason Jordan back up his poisonous assertion about the American military targeting...

A book written with truth, wisdom and insight shouldn't be revolutionary. Unfortunately, reporting facts about black America can be downright subversive. In his new book, , Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson ("the other Jesse") tells it like it is. He is the founder and president of the successful non-profit (BOND), whose purpose is "rebuilding the family by rebuilding the man".Rarely do I come across writing as brutally honest as my own when dealing with the black community. Liberals in general won't like it, liberal blacks in particular will hate it, and conservatives will wonder what took so long. SCAM is a...
