Talk about your bitter-clingers: Crazy Larry O'Donnell just can't give up on the notion that Michael Brown might have had his hands up. On today's Morning Joe, it led to a nasty little spat with Joe Scarborough. Joe asked Jeff Roorda of the St. Louis Police Officers Association whether, "since Eric Holder agreed with your side of the story," he had received an apology from the St. Louis Rams for the "hands up, don't shoot" display by several of its players. O'Donnell interrupted to claim that "Eric Holder doesn't agree with the officers' side of the story." According to O'Donnell,...

Larry O'Donnell makes a living attacking Mormonism. We noted years ago how he lambasted the LDS church as "demented" and "ridiculous." The MSNBC host was back at it again tonight. On this evening's Last Word, O'Donnell dismissed Mormonism as a religion "invented" by its founder, Joseph Smith, for purposes of excusing his infidelity. A sneering O'Donnell added that Mitt Romney "says his believes" in his religion. View the video here.

This is possibly the most offensive interview sequence I’ve ever seen. Lawrence O’Donnell lectures and snidely criticized Herman Cain, who was a minor when Rosa Parks refused to sit in the back of the bus in 1955 and in high school for the desegregation fights in the late 1950s and early 1960s, for not participating in civil rights demonstrations later in the 1960s. The Freedom Rides referenced in the interview and as to which O’Donnell lambasted Cain for not participating, were in 1961, when Cain was in high school. Here are some memorable O’Donnell questions: Where do you think black people would be...

It's going to be a long campaign . . . Republicans haven't come close to choosing their presidential candidate yet, but already a proud member of the MSM is calling a leading GOP contender a "killer." On his MSNBC show this evening, Crazy Larry O'Donnell accused Rick Perry of being--for his record of enforcing the law on capital punishment in Texas--the Republicans' "favorite killer, favorite state-sanctioned killer." Did Perry Slash the Volunteer Fire Fighter Budget? By Katrina Trinko September 07, 2011 Talking to MNSBC host Larry O’Donnell last night, former Perry opponent Jim Hightower accused Rick Perry of making draconian cuts to the volunteer fire fighter budget — no small accusation, considering the wildfires in Texas. “Perry with his Republican supermajority in the legislature managed to slash the budget of the volunteer fire departments in our state by 75 percent in the last legislative session. We don’t have firefighters enough to come to fight these fires. People’s homes are burning down because of his failure,†Hightower said....

.....Yet, as S&P has explained, unlike the administration and the CBO, it focuses on a three-to-five year window. S&P finds that this timeframe, which is more in the control of the current Congress and president, is a more reliable predictor of financial health than illusory ten-year forecasts....

Chicago - The number of Americans newly infected with HIV remained stable between 2006 and 2009, but infections rose nearly 50 percent among young black gay and bisexual men, U.S. experts said on Wednesday. New data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reveal progress since the peak of the HIV epidemic in the 1980s. But the sharp increases in infection rates among young black men who have sex with men show there is much more work to do, they said.(Snip) While blacks represent 14 percent of the U.S. population, they accounted for 44 percent of new HIV

When idiots of yore tossed slurs and epithets at sporting events, they had the sorry excuse of living in an America where segregation not only was common but also legislated. Impolite folks too ignorant to know better and too lazy to learn routinely wrapped themselves in bigotry, sparing no one, as was discovered by Jewish slugger Hank Greenberg and black pioneer Jackie Robinson. That was the 1930s and '40s and '50s, when many were denied civil rights and voting rights and the system was contaminated with the poisons of prejudice. What's the excuse now that we're supposed to be so...

The MSM and their liberal politician friends revel in proclaiming their admiration for average Americans. But scratch a liberal, and find condenscending contempt for the people they pretend to glorify. Take Larry O'Donnell. On his MSNBC show this evening, discussing President Obama's problems in convincing voters that the economy is on the road to recovery, O'Donnell denigrated most Americans. Declared O'Donnell: the majority of voters "don't really know anything about the economy." View video here.

If only Larry O'Donnell could have restrained himself, he had an opening to take a deserved shot at a Republican. But they don't call him 'Crazy Larry' for nothing. And so on his MSNBC show this evening, O'Donnell couldn't resist going beyond the bounds, slandering "good Christians" as illegal immigrant murderers. A meat-head of a Kansas Republican state lawmaker named Virgil Peck had suggested that since shooting feral pigs from helicopters had proved successful, "maybe we have found a (solution) to our illegal immigration problem.” If O'Donnell had contented himself with pasting Peck, he would have been entirely within his...

Larry O'Donnell has named Tim Pawlenty as the only "plausible" Republican candidate for president in 2012. Take it for what it's worth. And consider that O'Donnell was almost surely seeking to sow dissension in Republican ranks. Caveats carefully in place, consider the reasons O'Donnell dinged all the other possible nominees. I’m almost dumbfounded at what I just heard. Larry O’Donnell claims that Sarah Palin’s speech today was aimed at Congresswoman Giffords, simply because of Giffords’ March 25 interview where she claimed there was consequences to putting crosshairs over her district. Huh????? Has LarryO not been paying attention this week to even those on his own network obsessing about Sarah Palin and her map of crosshaired districts that created the environment that caused this guy to pull the trigger? She even qualified that her ‘blood libel’ statement was to journalists and pundits. Is this pundit so damn sensitive to criticism that...

MSNBC host Lawrence "Larry" O'Donnell: "Are we ready to face the fact that our gun laws are as insane as the man who shot 20 people on Saturday?"

Lawrence O’Donnell proved to be quite the trickster on Tuesday night, when the second episode “The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell” featured tabloid favorite Levi Johnston as a guest. After introducing Johnston, describing him as “a young man seething with political ambition,” O’Donnell threw the wannabe mayor of Wasilla a few softball questions before pitching him a curveball: O’Donnell would ask Johnston the same questions Katie Couric posed to Sarah Palin in 2008, when Palin was the Republican VP nominee. Johnston – sporting neatly trimmed two-day facial scruff, a white shirt opened a little too far, and a gray blazer...

Perhaps it was just a publicity stunt for his impending MSNBC show, but Lawrence O'Donnell went Crazy Larry on Morning Joe today. The lefty host of The Last Word went off on an unlikely target: AFL-CIO head Richard Trumka. What ignited Larry's tirade was Trumka's professed concern for the contract-negotiations plight of professional football players. O'Donnell was outraged that the union honcho was spending his time on the millionaires of the NFL rather than workers such as miners who merit more concern. Sample lines: "Exactly how many minutes of your day do you spend worrying about $15 million football players?...

When did Larry O'Donnell rip the "Question Authority" bumper sticker off his old Volkswagen van? Liberals normally love to celebrate those who "speak truth to power." But Larry O'Donnell is bent out of shape that Fox News' Bret Baier had the chutzpah to challenge and, yes, interrupt, Pres. Obama when interviewing him today about ObamaCare. Larry displayed his sudden deference to high-office on this evening's Countdown, subbing for Keith Olbermann. View video here.

New conservative spectator sport: watching MSM liberals lock horns over ObamaCare . . . Today's Morning Joe offered a hugely-entertaining example. Larry O'Donnell, speaking from the Olympian heights of his omniscience of the legislative process, mercilessly condescended to Donny Deutsch. Ad-man Deutsch had earlier twice "guaranteed" that ObamaCare would pass. When O'Donnell appeared, he in so many words said Deutsch was so blissfully ignorant of the process that he didn't understand just what trouble the bill is in. View video here.

So much for the MSM refrain about Republicans having previously used reconciliation just as Dems are proposing to do so now on ObamaCare . . . Larry O'Donnell has emphatically proclaimed that the way Dems intend to use reconciliation is "unprecedented" and has "never, never, never" been so used before. O'Donnell's many off-his-meds rants notwithstanding [recent example here], he actually does understand the legislative process, having served as Dem Chief of Staff of the Senate Committee on Finance back in the HillaryCare day. Yep, MSNBC’s Larry O’Donnell had another unhinged cable TV moment today. He’s been screaming on the airwaves for years. Joe Scarborough called the latest outburst on his show “psycho talk.” Been there, done that. Again and again and again. Remember this (transript here and non-apology apology here)? And this via Allahpundit circa 2007? *snip* The man is still in need of intensive psycho-therapy. TV exposure is not helping. Rest @ link

On today's Morning Joe, Larry O'Donnell called the Roman Catholic bishop who barred Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.) from taking communion a "political hack." Interestingly, Mika Brzezinski had a totally different take, arguing the controversy was not about the Church but about Kennedy publicizing the matter in a play to his base. Though Bishop Thomas Tobin sent his letter to Kennedy more than two years ago, its contents didn't come to light until Kennedy recently revealed them to a Rhode Island newspaper. View video here.
