It's going to be a long campaign . . . Republicans haven't come close to choosing their presidential candidate yet, but already a proud member of the MSM is calling a leading GOP contender a "killer."
On his MSNBC show this evening, Crazy Larry O'Donnell accused Rick Perry of being--for his record of enforcing the law on capital punishment in Texas--the Republicans' "favorite killer, favorite state-sanctioned killer."

Crazy Larry O’Donnell calls Rick Perry the GOP’s “favorite killer, favorite state-sponsored killer.” Ping to Today show list.
My bad: O’Donnell called Perry the GOP’s favorite “state-sanctioned”, not “state-sponsored” killer.
Well the question for Mr O’Donnell is does he not believe in the rule of law? Is he suggesting that as Governor of Texas Mr Perry should ignore the law?
If you are convicted and given a death sentence in a court of law then that sentence should be carried out as set by the law.
I’m not a Perry fan, but this is over the top. This O’Donnell hack is a communist!
So, Obama is then the Rats favorite State Sponsored Killer via drones over Pakistan, American troops killing Taliban in Afghanistan, JDAMS capping Khadafy loyalists in Libya, etc.
Watch where you go with this, Crazy Larry.....
Well, well, well. Didn’t hear them screaming about the death penalty when a white supremacist was executed (and rightly so). He deserved to die....just like the cop killer. But not a peep from the libtards.
MSNBC lost what little comic value it had when Olbie left. How many times can you watch Crazy Larry act stupid or Rev Al try to read?
I don’t know how to break it to liberals, but being willing to pull the switch on murderers is a big plus for Perry, not only in the primaries, but it will serve him well in the general election too. This is like free advertizement for Perry.
Crazy Larry is doing the same old hackneyed jump of the shark that so many, who have nothing to offer, use to generate attention. There is no doubt that he lacks the intellect to come up with something that generates attention for its own merits.
O’Donnells just a hack. He needs a job, and hopes he is
filling a niche in the political panoply on TV and gets
the requisite big paycheck. But even if he has some
correct opinions, he is like the proverbial
clock which even though broken, is correct twice a day.
The facts of the case are that the TX governor has remarkably little direct power over whether an execution occurs or not.
In most states, a governor can stay, commute or pardon, essentially at his discretion, as the President can in federal cases.
In TX, the sole power of the governor to directly affect an execution is that he can issue a single 30 day stay. There is a Board of Pardons and Paroles that has the real power that in most states belonggs to the governor.
Of course, the governor appoints this board and has other indirect influence on the state’s policies, but the movie image of the executioners waiting by the phone for word from the governor just doesn’t apply in Texas.

So Perry really shouldn’t be debited or credited for the TX execution record by liberals or conservatives. But he will be, of course, as these facts are so easily ignored.
Judging by the applause, this “attack” is going to help Perry. We need more killers in office, the ones who aim at evil instead of at unborn children.
O’Donnell is unwatchable.
Larry who?
"Glenn, unlike you, I [Larry O'Donnell] am not a progressive. I am not a liberal who is so afraid of the word that I had to change my name to progressive. Liberals amuse me. I am a socialist. I live to the extreme left, the extreme left of you mere liberals, okay?"
Nice catch LF. But because I went over to the HuffPo site to get this jewel, now I have to take a shower.
He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. There must be other ‘State sactioned Killers” who we prefer over Perry.
I think your point was well established during the Bush years, over the same demagoguery from the left, but it is worth repeating now that Perry is the target. What I said is merely a political reality. This will help Perry, not hurt him.
