CAMP KINSER, OKINAWA, Japan (Sept. 28, 2005) -- Students from Kinser Elementary School show off some of the money they have collected to support the ongoing relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina, the most destructive tropical storm in recorded U.S. history, in the school’s lunchroom Sept. 28. The students have been taking donations during their lunch periods for more than a week and have collected over $1,000. After the hurricane, members of the local community immediately started collecting money in order to help in any way they could.
