Secretary of State John Kerry believes that al Qaeda’s “top leadership†has been “neutralize[d]†as “an effective force.†A brief look at al Qaeda's position throughout the globe tells a different story. Dozens of senior al Qaeda terrorists, including of course Osama bin Laden, have been eliminated. But al Qaeda is not a simple top-down terrorist group that can be entirely vanquished by killing or detaining select key leaders. It is a paramilitary insurgency organization that is principally built for waging guerilla warfare. Terrorism is a part of what al Qaeda does, but not nearly all. And a key reason...

It's time to play America's fastest growing game show sensation, "Moron or Traitor." It's a tough challenge because this administration has plenty of both. So does a radicalized Democratic Party leaping into insanity. A Democratic candidate was recently forced to drop out for tweeting that ISIS isn't evil. But don't look for Kerry to quit over his suggestion that the ISIS massacre of Charlie Hebdo artists and writers (not to mention, as his boss put it, some random (Jewish) folks in a deli) There’s something different about what happened from Charlie Hebdo, and I think everybody would feel that. There...

JAKE TAPPER, HOST: Thank you so much for agreeing to do this. JOHN KERRY, SECRETARY OF STATE: Good to be with you. TAPPER: So you've been secretary of State for a year. What's been the most surprising thing about the job? KERRY: I - I think just the sheer intensity of the number of issues coming at us all at one time on a global basis. A lot of transformation, a lot of challenge in the world, a lot of upheaval. And all of it affects our interests, you know... ... TAPPER: There's a lot of talk about two of...

John Kerry invoked his Vietnam War service to push back against an Israeli cabinet member who criticized his recent comments on the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. During a security conference in Munich last weekend, Kerry suggested that if his Israeli-Palestinian peace effort fails, there could be serious consequences for Israel. “For Israel there is an increasing delegitimizing campaign that has been building up,” Kerry said, without condemning the effort. “People are very sensitive to it. There are talks of boycotts and other kinds of things.” In response, Israel’s economy minister Naftali Bennett harshly criticized Kerry’s failure to speak out against the...

Sen. John Kerry has a long and dubious record in foreign policy. In the 1970s, he testified against his fellow Vietnam War veterans before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He charged that they were violating the Geneva Conventions every day in Vietnam. Some POWs were outraged at Kerry’s disloyal statements. They said they had been tortured by their Communist captors trying to force them to make such untrue statements. Worse, Kerry went to Paris in 1971. There, he met with North Vietnamese Communists. … Any negotiation between a private U.S. citizen and a foreign power is illegal. It violates the...

I created this little video the other day, in honor of Kerry and Bin Laden's almost identical statements... It was spawned of my disgust at the Washington Post calling Pat Robertson and Ahmadinejad a "duo", etc. a few weeks back, and ignoring all the Bin Laden tape quotes that sound like they were ripped right out of the Dems playbook. I'm to lazy to copy everything over, so just read my post for the history, that also links to other old posts for more background, and then watch the video. This was my first attempt at using "Windows Movie Maker",...

"Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism." --George Washington It's no surprise that John Kerry has devoted so much time and energy questioning George W. Bush's record as commander-in-chief. Nor is it any surprise that he recently launched a campaign calling on Secretary of Defense Don Rumsfeld to resign after a handful of military personnel humiliated al-Qa'ida terrorists in Abu Ghraib prison while attempting to obtain actionable intelligence about their plans to kill more of our troops. These political attacks are just the latest round on Kerry's long list of black-bag antics designed to undermine America's military strength and resolve....

Political campaigns are not usually good places to look for examples of pure truth. Indeed, they are famous as the source of all sorts of misstatements, evasions, wild accusations and other examples of near-dishonesty. So, normally, I wouldn't bother calling to your attention one particular falsehood, however egregious. OK, so John Kerry said something that wasn't true. So, no doubt, at one time or another, has President Bush. What else is new? What makes this particular falsehood worth your attention, however, is its sheer cleverness, and the contempt for the intelligence of the average voter that it reveals. I have...

SHOW: CNN CROSSFIRE 19:30 pm ET November 12, 1997; Wednesday 7:30 pm Eastern Time Transcript # 97111200V20 JOHN SUNUNU, CROSSFIRE: Senator Kerry, in fact, in spite of the administration claiming it has restored unanimity, that has not occurred. All the strength of this resolution had to be pulled out of it get any votes at all other than our own. Isn't this exercise actually counterproductive in sending a signal to Iraq that the coalition still remains frayed? SEN. JOHN KERRY, (D), MASSACHUSETTS, FOREIGN RELATIONS COMMITTEE: Well, John, you're correct that this resolution is less than we would have liked. I...

NOTE: President Carter used his 1980 SOTU speech to address the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and the American hostages taken by Iran. He called for increasing military spending, reducing restrictions on the CIA, and revival of the selective services registration. Many on the left, like Noam Chomsky, attacked him for his response to the crisis, others, like Sen. McGovern supported him, while John Kerry offered qualified support and equivocation. ************************************************************************************************** January 25, 1980 by Richard H. Stewart Globe Staff Antiwar activists from the Vietnam era are not as united about President Jimmy Carter's tough-sounding [State of the Union] speech on...

This has not appeared in the news yet (even on conservative sites). If we could get the tape of this, it would *destroy* Kerry. On 9/11, on Larry King Live, Kerry was asked the following question, and had the following response: KING: Senator Kerry did your -- did you committee on international opertions and terrorism ever actually fear something like this? SEN. JOHN KERRY: Absolutely. Absolutely. But let me join John [McCain] and I know all my colleagues in just expressing -- I think all of us here in Washington are feeling in very personal ways the loss of what's...
