In a highly unusual move, President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday night left his Manhattan residence without notifying the reporters covering him or giving any indication of where he was going. The maneuver seemed to deliberately limit access to the media. The only way the press eventually ascertained his whereabouts was after a Bloomberg reporter, who happened to be dining at the 21 Club, tweeted a photo of Trump and some of his transition team in the Midtown steakhouse. Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks later told NBC News. "He is having dinner with his family."

Peace, brotherhood, and good sportsmanship -- these are the Olympic ideals, we're told, that the games are all about.Of course, greed, commercial exploitation, and corruption make up the true "Olympic spirit," but no one wants to counter the fairy tale. And part of that fairy tale is that athletes -- even from warring countries -- get along perfectly, leaving conflict and bad feelings behind them as they meet in the spirit of good, clean fun and competition.Perhaps we should ask the Lebanese delegation how the fairy tale is working out.Times of Israel: Members of the Lebanese delegation to the 2016 Olympic...

EXCERPT “This is the most anti-police, anti-law enforcement convention I’ve ever seen in my whole life. There was not a uniformed police officer allowed on the convention floor. I was told that by four high-ranking police officers, two of whom I’ve known for a very long time. And then I walked the floor for very long time and I couldn’t find a single officer. Go look at your footage. You find me a uniform. Hillary Clinton didn’t want uniformed police officers on the convention floor.”

It'd be embarrassing for you & for me,” tweeted Dominican Father Thomas Petri, the vice president and academic dean of the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception at the Dominican House of Studies. Canon 915 of the Code of Canon Law instructs that those “persevering in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.” The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches,...

The head of the Democratic National Committee will not speak at the party's convention next week, a decision reached by party officials Saturday after emails surfaced that raised questions about the committee's impartiality during the Democratic primary. The revelation comes following the release of nearly 20,000 emails. One email appears to show DNC staffers asking how they...
