Sociology professor Alicia Walker is asking male participants to voluntarily send photos of their anatomy along with measurements – in an aroused and non-aroused state – as part of a research project approved by the Missouri State University Institutional Review Board, The College Fix reported. “The study is examining the importance of men's self-esteem and feelings about their bodies and their experiences in a society that worships size and tells men that they're less than if they don't measure up,” Walker told Fox News. “For the men I've spoken to thus far, that impact has been grave.” Walker clarified that men are not emailing...

Evan Baehr and Will Davis, were summoned to Washington for a meeting with the Postmaster General. Evan and Will wondered what it could be, "They must have seen the recent coverage in CNBC, maybe they'll help our company expand?" Or, "maybe they wanted the traditional photo opportunity and positive media buzz that political actors care so much about. Surely their company made the Post Office look good, right?" But when the Postmaster General came out to meet them, the stark reality became clear, they weren't interested in a photo-op.As Evan and Will describe it: "This 30-minute meeting was the end...

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) - A Fresno mail carrier has been fired for throwing away mail. The United States Postal Service says the mailman admitted he threw away letters about "Obamacare." People who live at a Central Fresno apartment complex snapped pictures of the inside of the dumpster filled with mail about "Obamacare". Witnesses say the mail was dumped in the garbage by their mailman. "He just kept glancing over his shoulder over and over again. It was like he knew what he was doing was wrong," said witness Jerry Dills. Dills says he brought the mail that he found in...

Since I joined the NRA, I seem to have become a magnet for junk mail, phone calls and unwanted products in the mail. I have had it with them. Here is my third letter to them. This is my third email to the NRA staff and I am tired of being polite. Since I joined the NRA in January of 2013, I have been hounded with unsolicited email, mail, and phone calls regarding everything from gun rights to mail order brides and I am absolutely sick of it. I joined the NRA as a gun owner and enthusiast, a taxpayer...

In a moment of insanity I registered to win a dinner with Obama thinking I might actually win... (please forgive me) I know for a fact I checked off that I did not want any e-mails sent to me. I have got them now from 5 different white house/Obama/Michelle sources. The whitehut is violating anti-spam laws. go figure.

My husband wants to legally donate to candidates before the election but wishes to stay off mailing lists. (We have managed to get on about 100 by donating during previous election cycles.) He was wondering about sending cash in amounts less than $200 in an envelope with no return address. I apologize for this vanity, but my husband really wanted input from others on this topic.

In the last 3 months I have received about 300 pieces of mail from 88 sources, all political causes, asking for money. This is an invasion of my privacy. How do I make these go away? This is angering as I wish to support conservative causes, but these incessant requests are irritating the hell out of me. I will choose when and where I give. Letters and calls do no good. I thought of getting a P.O Box #, changing a credit card address to the P.O. Box, and sending change of address letters to these 88 in the hopes...

FORT WORTH, Texas- A Texas woman said her father receives so much junk mail that his house is full of letters and on a recent day he received 96 pieces of mail. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported the Fort Worth woman and her 81-year-old father, whose names were not released by the newspaper, said the man's house is littered with junk mail, including a 3 1/2-foot pile of letters on his breakfast table. The woman said her father, who received 96 pieces of junk mail Monday alone, gives about $2,500 a year to various charities and began receiving junk mail...

How to Stop USPS Junk Mail By Shelly Schumacher, eHow Contributing Writer The average American receives 41 pounds of junk mail per year. Not only does junk mail clog up our mailboxes, it also wreaks havoc on the environment. Nearly half of the junk mail received annually (44 percent) ends up in a landfill. In addition, nearly $320 million in local tax money is used to dispose of junk mail, and more than 100 million trees are used to create pulpwood for paper products. While the United States Postal Service does not have a one-stop method for reducing junk mail,...

A British man who received a letter from U.K. cable giant Virgin Media addressing him as "Mr. Illegal Immigrant" is furious with the company's handling of the ordeal, it was reported Friday. Aaron Needham, 24, says he felt offended after receiving what appeared to be an official company letter at his home in Nottingham, central England. The letter, which included a brochure advertising the company's cable TV and telephone packages, was addressed to "Mr. Illegal Immigrant" and started with "Dear Mr. Immigrant."

Hi friends, I am always being asked to grade Obama's presidency. In place of offering him a grade, I put together a list of his accomplishments thus far. I think you would agree that it is very impressive. His first six months have been even more active than FDRs or LBJs the two standards for such assessments. Yet, there is little media attention given to much of what he has done. Of late, the media is focusing almost exclusively on Obama's critics, without holding them responsible for the uncivil, unconstructive tone of their disagreements or without holding the previous administration responsible...

Stop Junk Snail Mail I want to stop my daily Junk Snail Mail deluge from clogging up my US postal box (Not E-Mails). The FTC has a National Do Not Call Registry for telemarketing telephone calls but I am dubious about some of the Do Not Mail websites that I have found: 1. DirectMail.com National Do Not Mail List; https://www.directmail.com/directory/mail_preference/ 2. The Direct Marketing Association's DMAchoice (www.dmachoice.org) https://www.dmachoice.org/dma/member/regist.action Anyone have a silver bullet to stop this junk snail mail?

I heard this from a caller on a local radio station. Apologies to all if it's already been suggested. To me, the idea is brilliant in its simplicity! Simply forward ALL of your junk/spam email to flag@whitehouse.gov

Overwhelmed by piles of junk mail, 'Mailman Steve' quit bringing it to the people on his North Carolina route. Customers are grateful. The Direct Marketing Assn., however, is not amused. Sick of junk mail? Pay homage, then, to overstressed, overworked mailman Steven Padgett, who has confessed to a cardinal sin among the letter carriers tribe: He failed to deliver. "Mailman Steve" -- a pudgy, kindly 58-year-old who toiled along a route in a rapidly growing neighborhood here -- was given probation in federal court this week for squirreling away at least seven years' worth of undelivered junk mail, which he...

Every few weeks, TIME Magazine sends me another offer to subscribe to their communist garbage. See, I received a gift membership from a relative for Christmas a few years ago and did not renew (duh). These guys do not relent. In the envelope is the offer letter, a glossy bookmark, and a sheet describing my "free" gift if I subscribe (the same piece of garbage alarm/radio which I received with my gift membership). Oh, and a postage-paid return envelope. I just tossed them all until I saw this cover one day while at the grocery store: I have a feeling...

The average American's mail every year contains about 40 pounds of unsolicited advertisements and promotional material: pre-approved credit-card offers, home refinancing offers, oil-change coupons, mail-order meat catalogs. The Post Office delivers 17.8 tons of bulk mail each year nationally, but 44 percent of the material goes into the trash unopened and only 2 percent is responded to, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says. People can take steps to stop, or at least slow, the flow of junk mail into their mail boxes, though the methods are sometimes cumbersome: direct mail firms and credit companies have established Web sites where people...
