This Saturday's game between No. 24 USC and Cal is currently delayed due to a protest taking place on the field. Moments ago, Brandon Huffman of 247Sports shared a photo of people sitting at midfield at California Memorial Stadium. "Just before kickoff at Cal-USC in Berkeley and a protest of some sort is going on at midfield," Huffman wrote. There appears to be at least a dozen people protesting on the field. At this time, it's unclear as to what they're protesting about.

On January 10, 2019, convicted criminal Kevin Limbaugh gunned down Natalie Corona, only 22 and a rising star in the Davis police department. Officers from across the country, joined by thousands of locals, attended a memorial service for Corona. Over at UC Davis, on the other hand, one professor openly supported the murder of police officers. That would be Joshua Clover, professor of English and comparative literature, whose publisher Verso Books describes him as a communist. Born in Berkeley in 1962, Clover (pictured above) is an alumnus of the prestigious Boston University and the Iowa Writers Workshop. He once bagged...

Communist professor Joshua Clover still on the job after calling for killing of police officers. On June 2, retired St. Louis police captain David Dorn, 77, was guarding a friend’s pawn shop when he was gunned down in a murder reportedly live-streamed on Facebook. “Our highest respect to the family of David Dorn, a Great Police Captain from St. Louis, who was viciously shot and killed by despicable looters last night,” tweeted President Trump. “We honor our police officers, perhaps more than ever before. Thank you!” On July 4, at the White House, the president paid tribute again. “We are...

On January 10, convicted criminal Kevin Limbaugh gunned down Natalie Corona, 22, a rising star in the police department of Davis, California. The community hailed Corona as a hero who had dedicated herself to law enforcement and paid the ultimate price. Thousands of people, including police officers from across the country, attended a memorial service for the slain officer. On the other hand, not everybody at UC Davis was happy about all the praise for the officer. After a photo of Corona, clad in an elegant blue dress and holding the “thin blue line” flag, went viral on social media,...

If you haven’t heard of Joshua Clover before now, allow me to introduce him. Clover is a tenured professor at the University of California, Davis, and the author of nearly a dozen books. He’s also a big fan of social media, or at least he used to be. Before taking his Twitter account private, it seems that the professor really enjoyed mixing it up with other users, including a number of charming tweets where he wished that more police officers would be murdered. Even in California, that was a bridge too far for some, but Clover remains on the...

Comments by a UC Davis English professor several years ago reportedly saying he believes police officers “need to be killed” have gained attention since the shooting death of Davis police Officer Natalie Corona. Joshua Clover, a professor of English and Comparative Literature, tweeted in 2014, “I am thankful that every living cop will one day be dead, some by their own hand, some by others, too many of old age #letsnotmakemore,” according to UC Davis’ college newspaper The California Aggie. On his now-private Twitter account, he also reportedly tweeted, “I mean, it’s easier to shoot cops when their backs are...
