    Joey Chestnut, the reigning and 16-time champion of the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest, will not compete in this year’s event on July 4, Major League Eating announced. Chestnut, who has been competing in the annual Nathan’s Hot Dog event since 2005, has been banned from this year’s contest after he agreed to a sponsorship deal with Impossible Foods, a rival brand of Nathan’s. This year’s Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest will again be held at Coney Island in New York City.
