True American hero Joey "Jaws" Chestnut is your Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest champion once again. As if there was ever a doubt.

Do they eat the buns too or just hot dogs?
My favorite part of this article is that it appears in CBS sports.
Can’t wait for my hometown to get its own professional hot dog eating franchise.
Buns and dogs. In the old days, they’d dip the bread in a cup of water to make it easier to swallow.
These days, they just shove everything down.
Isn’t it more than a little insulting to “TRUE AMERICAN HEROES” to refer to someone that stuffs an enormous amount of food down his gullet as a true American hero? Especially on this day of remembrance?

This guy is a heart attack waiting to happen.
Where is the Jap legend Kobayashi.
Tried to watch the video of this. After two minutes I had a bad case of heartburn and indigestion. How do they do it without trowing up?
Interesting. I saw the “event” live and the count they showed for Chestnut was about 65 at the end. Still about 20 more than the 2nd place guy.

The counter missed a plate, that is why the number was incorrect.
I never could figure out where they’re putting so much food.
One chili dog and some potato salad — I’m done for the day.
The hot dogs.
Does each contestant, shortly after perhaps behind the scenes, barf the whole thing up?
Is there some rule on crumbs? Seems like a strategy of shedding a few percent more crumbs than the other guy would give an edge.
So, what do they eat for dinner tonight?
Watched it live, but ESPN went to other programming before Chesnut’s
official count was released.
The introductions were more fun than watching the eating contest.
What a bunch of characters. And the announcer was great.
Well they figure the heroes had their day, Memorial Day.
Watch out for serious methane production several hours later.
