Meanwhile, a new poll shows a majority of voters believe it’s appropriate to fire employees who celebrate Charlie Kirk’s murder online. ============================================================= A week’s vacation from his “comedy” show didn’t make Jimmy Kimmel any funnier, less bitter, or more likeable. In fact, the late-night host returned to Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday — on fewer ABC local affiliate stations — sounding more partisan and petulant than ever. Kimmel offered no apology for the lies he told about Charlie Kirk’s assassination, comments that earned him an “indefinite,” short-lived suspension from his corporate bosses. The poster-child for Trump Derangement Syndrome thumbed his nose...

“It’s going to go down a lot further if they cancel his show. Disney does not want to be the ones that broke America.” — Mark Ruffalo. Perhaps Mark Ruffalo really does think he has an indestructible giant lurking inside his insufferable jerk exterior. After all, not long after he posted that on Threads, Disney executives reversed course and decided to put Jimmy Kimmel back on the air. But don’t expect Disney stock to suddenly bounce back, or subscriptions to Disney+ to surge. Mark Ruffalo is no Warren Buffett. Yes, Disney’s stock price had gone down 3% since last Wednesday,...

Nexstar Media Group Inc. said it will begin preempting “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Tuesday’s return broadcast, joining Hunt Valley-based Sinclair Broadcast Group in pulling the show for the foreseeable future. ABC had said Monday it would reinstate the late-night show despite criticism of Kimmel’s comments about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. But both Sinclair and Texas-based Nexstar said they objected to Kimmel’s remarks and would replace the program with alternative content across their ABC affiliates. Sinclair operates 38 local ABC affiliates, while Nexstar owns about 33, giving the two companies a combined reach of 63 ABC stations nationwide....

Low-rated "comedian" Jimmy Kimmel is headed back on the air after he was briefly suspended for lying about who murdered Charlie Kirk. As RedState reported, the late-night host will return on Tuesday night, marking a victory for the far-left elites who rallied to his defense. So much for all the cries of "fascism," I suppose. Early on in this controversy, I opined that controversial comments from FCC Chairman Brendan Carr were not the reason for Kimmel's suspension. It seems I was right, given this reversal wouldn't have happened if ABC were truly terrified of the federal government taking action. Still,...

Sinclair Broadcast Group announced Monday that it would preempt ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” when it returns Tuesday night. “Beginning Tuesday night, Sinclair will be preempting ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ across our ABC affiliate stations and replacing it with news programming. Discussions with ABC are ongoing as we evaluate the show’s potential return,” the company’s statement read. Sinclair, which operates 30 ABC affiliates, previously joined Nexstar, another owner of ABC affiliates, in preempting Kimmel’s show last week after he made controversial comments regarding Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin. …

Disney said in a statement Monday that “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” will return to its ABC broadcast on Tuesday. The decision came nearly a week after ABC said it was suspending the late night show indefinitely, shortly after the host made comments linking the alleged killer of conservative activist Charlie Kirk to President Donald Trump’s MAGA movement.“Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country. It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive,” according to...

The New York mayoral candidate hit at Disney for "cowardice" in the face of the Trump administration's moves to pressure the company over the late-night host.NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani will not be participating in a Town Hall event with WABC this week due to the parent company’s decision to suspend Jimmy Kimmel‘s late-night show. “We cannot understand this moment of authoritarianism as solely coming from the White House, when it is also characterized by the cowardice of those in response to it — the cowardice that we have seen typified whether by the parent company of ABC or by...

Conservative actor James Woods decided to share his thoughts on Thursday on X. At first, it looked like he would shock everybody with his take on Kimmel’s misfortune. Woods wrote, ” We’ve all made jokes at Jimmy Kimmel’s expense.” But Mr. Kimmel is a fellow artist, and I am heartbroken to see how he has been treated.” “I believe he is, in his heart of hearts, a good and decent fellow, devoid of malice and hate,” he continued. Then, Woods performed a sudden heel turn, revealing how he felt about Kimmel getting sacked. “Just kidding, Jimbo,” he quipped. “Eat sh*t.”

Was Jimmy Kimmel Censored?Charlie Kirk was the antithesis of Jimmy Kimmel. Kirk was tremendously influential with the youth while Kimmel’s sanctimony is reserved for a dwindling audience of the blue-state elderly among coastal elites. Kirk sought good-faith debate while Kimmel relied on monologues of smears. Kirk was fundamentally decent, while Kimmel is callous and cruel. This week’s headlines reveal another difference between the men: the reaction to Kirk’s assassination is a grassroots movement, while the fury resulting from Kimmel’s suspension is the result of an entitled bureaucracy accustomed to an unaccountable monopoly on the public’s resources. Corporate media and its...

(It's the time slot where people are just up and want to watch something - anything - except, apparently, Jimmy Kimmel's ugly mug.) MARK SIMONE @MarkSimoneNY After pulling Jimmy Kimmel off the air, ABC has been running reruns of Celebrity Family Feud in his time slot and it's getting much bigger ratings. So why bring Kimmel back? Overnight ratings for the September 18, 2025, *Celebrity Family Feud* rerun show 2.8 viewers —easily topping Kimmel's recent averages of about 1.1 million viewers. This marks a roughly 150% lift in total viewership and a 200% jump in the key demo, so why...

Jimmy Kimmel may have been relieved of his duties at Jimmy Kimmel Live!, but that doesn't mean he's ready to retire. He's only 57, has bills to pay, and has plenty of good years left. To help him out, The Babylon Bee has come up with the following list of perfect jobs for him: 1. Professional cryer at funerals: No one sheds tears quite like Jimmy. 2. "Before" photo model: Few other people can so perfectly capture that vibe. 3. Purple Teletubby: Nobody will be able to see him cry behind the Tinky Winky mask. 4. Keith Olbermann's shift manager...

CPAC Australia. Sky News host James Morrow has dropped a major truth bomb about the protests against the indefinite axing of Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show. “I want to give you another truth bomb here for you to check out here. Check this out because the left, as I mentioned before, have been losing their minds about the Jimmy Kimmel firing thing [and] having these protests,” he said. “And here’s a little footage of a totally spontaneous demonstration outside ABC studios in New York to save Jimmy Kimmel, and I want you to watch the screen real closely here – pay...

Something important that’s being missed with the Jimmy Kimmel saga… By spreading the vile lie that Charlie was assassinated by MAGA, the implicit message from Kimmel was clear: If you kill a conservative, we will cover for you. We will whitewash the murder because we don’t think conservatives deserve to live. Kill more. Assassinate more. We have your back. This is evil. Executives at ABC rightly received a deluge of complaints from affiliates. They asked Kimmel to apologize for lying and he refused, instead vowing to double down. Only then did he get canned. Networks like ABC, NBC, and CBS...

The hysteria merchants are in high gear again as they respond to the news that Jimmy Kimmel’s ABC talk show has been “preempted indefinitely.” Kimmel got the gate from ABC because of his reckless remarks about the death of Charlie Kirk. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) called the decision “despicable” and undemocratic, asserting that Kimmel has “the right to free speech.” Illinois governor and obvious presidential candidate JB Pritzker said that ABC’s decision was “an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.” Schumer, Pritzker and the many other supposed champions of free speech, of course, blame...

The legacy media are now portraying multi-millionaire Jimmy Kimmel as a victim of censorship after ABC indefinitely suspended Jimmy Kimmel Live! for falsely linking Charlie Kirk’s suspected murderer to MAGA. The irony? Kimmel has repeatedly mocked actual victims of censorship, particularly those silenced by Big Tech. Let’s rewind to Jan. 8, 2021, when Kimmel gloated over Twitter’s permanent ban of then-President Donald Trump while he was still in office. “LIVE LOOK – Trump’s bathroom,” Kimmel sneered at the time, sharing a photoshopped image of Trump sitting on a toilet with a phone in hand, displaying the @realDonaldTrump Twitter profile as...

Jimmy Kimmel is working with ABC's parent company Disney to bring his late-night show back after it was indefinitely suspended due to his monologue about Charlie Kirk, according to insiders.Three sources with knowledge of the conversations told Variety that compromises are in the works for Jimmy Kimmel Live! to return to television.Sinclair, the media corporation that owns multiple ABC affiliate stations, previously called on the host to apologize and donate to Kirk's organization, Turning Point USA. Another major station owner, Nexstar, also announced it would pull the show from their stations following comments from Federal Communications Commission Chair Brendan Carr,...

Hopefully an end to this half-activist, half-entertainer, full fraud.Jimmy Kimmel’s indefinite suspension from ABC feels less like censorship than comeuppance. The comedian who once built his reputation on gleeful political incorrectness now finds himself hoisted by his own progressive petard, pulled off air after suggesting Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer was a Trump supporter rather than what he actually appears to be — a far-left fanatic with a taste for blood.Don’t confuse this for another cancel culture moment. It’s the predictable end of a peculiar American transformation. (RELATED: Pull ABC’s Broadcast License? After the Last Few Days? Hell, Yes!)Kimmel began as...

Hillary Clinton slammed President Donald Trump’s administration on Thursday for trying to “intimidate” late-night host Jimmy Kimmel. ABC announced on Wednesday that Kimmel’s show would be suspended indefinitely after the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chair Brendan Carr threatened to take action against the network. Carr’s threat came after Kimmel’s comments on the killing of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk prompted outrage from Trump’s MAGA base. CNN’s Fareed Zakaria asked Clinton whether the suspension of Kimmel was an example of “state censorship.” “I think this is a very clear example of using the power of the state to suppress speech. It is...
