Something important that’s being missed with the Jimmy Kimmel saga…

Something important that’s being missed with the Jimmy Kimmel saga…

By spreading the vile lie that Charlie was assassinated by MAGA, the implicit message from Kimmel was clear: If you kill a conservative, we will cover for you. We will whitewash the murder because we don’t think conservatives deserve to live. Kill more. Assassinate more. We have your back.

This is evil.

Executives at ABC rightly received a deluge of complaints from affiliates. They asked Kimmel to apologize for lying and he refused, instead vowing to double down. Only then did he get canned.

Networks like ABC, NBC, and CBS enjoy massive taxpayer supported privileges and advantages because they are supposed to contribute to the “public good.” Those privileges come with a responsibility to not knowingly spread harmful lies like the one Kimmel was spreading.

Jimmy Kimmel is not a victim. He’s a liar.

Jimmy Kimmel is not a martyr. Charlie is.

Let’s keep that straight

Do not let the Leftist Media spin the story that Kimmel's firing is a free speech issue.

ABC dumped Kimmel because the affiliate stations were going to stop airing Kimmel's garbage.

Well…

There IS that little thing about some guy at the FCC hinting that the nebulous “public interest standard” and “serving local communities” isn’t being met.

PBS is all over the free speech angle. The rank and file left are clueless, by design.

They will ALWAYS slander and lie about Jesus.

Keep conversing, keep loving. Begin relationships. That’s what evangelizing means.

The Left knows the Leftist Media Mafia will run cover for them. The media knows that is their prime job.

The left is winning the spin - “Kimmel was fired for his free speech” - and the right is feeding the beast - “That’s because he lied and is hateful.”

They’re both wrong. This is business decision. Nexstar announced a $6.2 billion acquisition of rival Tegna, which would give it 64 additional news stations in 51 markets to go with the 200 owned and partner stations it already has, and bring the company’s market coverage of the U.S. to about 80 percent. And current FCC rules cap any one company’s share at 39 percent.

To be fair, the deal requires regulatory approval and the FCC Chairman has been clear about his views. Nonetheless, any CEO would likely make the same decision to effectively fire Kimmel. To do otherwise would risk a shareholder lawsuit claiming breach of fiduciary duty.

I doubt the Founders would want the govt to have any say in a private transaction between firms. But until the FCC is defunded, this is where we are.

Kimmel lying is protected speech. That’s why the angle being used is that Kimmel violated the “public interest standard.” However, that standar is not well-defined. . You can drive a truck through it.

I believe Kimmel knew which way the wind was blowing, and he intentionally cranked up his vective to provoke management in order to achieve martyrdom. Kimmel is now the toast of leftism, he will get paid out of his contract and the only people getting screwed is the support staff (clearly leftists don’t care about “the little people”).

There’s also the fact that “joking” about a recent political assassination, is never funny, never appropriate and is vile.

As was mocking president Trump for his statement of grieving for his assassinated friend.

Of course Kimmel was sneering at the murder of a political opponent, he’s a leftist and thinks it’s funny when we’re killed.

He hits on that

The local advertisers are the ones making money and stand to lose with viewers being turned off by indecent content

I think people just don’t see that the networks are different from cable and other carriers/broadcasters. Radio and TV are different from Podcasts

Read Charlie Kirk’s producer above

Read it

He knows what he’s talking about

He had/has governing authorities. They are much less stringent than if turning point relied on Network TV for production

Oh. Thanks. I speak fluent autocorrect but it’s a burden to not edit and put the work on the reader.
