GRAVESEND, Brooklyn (PIX11) — A Brooklyn man is accused of hitting a 71-year-old man in the face with a shovel a couple of days after Christmas, police said. Sean Abt, 24, was arrested Tuesday and charged with assault in connection with the Dec. 27 attack in Brooklyn, according to the NYPD. KNOX CO., Ill. (KWQC) - A 75-year-old woman has been arrested after Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a medical alert activation at a home. A medical alert was triggered when a man was being assaulted in a home on Saturday, deputies said. The man was injured. After an investigation, deputies said 75-year-old Elizabeth Meminger of Wataga, Illinois, was arrested. A Morris man has been arrested and charged with murder for shooting and killing another man from Morris. 58-year-old David Hand shot and killed 71-year-old Lynn Barton on November 7, 2025.
