August 25, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The two-hour National Geographic documentary 'In the Womb' is now available on YouTube in 9 parts.  Originally aired in 2005, the documentary used revolutionary techniques in computer imaging and 4-D ultrasounds to present stunning images of the developing embryo, taking viewers through the amazing journey of the unborn baby from conception to birth.   The video presents a remarkable visual apologetic for the pro-life message that human life begins with fertilization.  Showing the continuous development of the unborn child from conception to birth, it shatters all attempts to pinpoint any other time as the beginning...

Note: This commentary was delivered by Prison Fellowship President Mark Earley. When Michelangelo carved the beauty of the human form in marble, he knew that true art is “but a shadow of the divine perfection.” As true art shadows God, so too, the beauty and complexity of the human form is an unrivaled masterpiece that proclaims its Creator. A new DVD and accompanying book from National Geographic called In the Womb highlight this masterpiece of life in its earliest stages. Despite National Geographic’s evolutionary language, these images are one of the best visual apologetics for the Creator and for choosing...

Terrific program on tonight about life in the womb from conception to ??? (I'm still watching it with fascination). Those who geT cable or satellite, check your guides. It's a 2 hr program and apparently repeats at least once tonight on National Geographic channel. Much more advanced than the old PBS program ... terrific visuals from conception on, commentary on complexity of it all, you get the picture. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Full-frontal images of a vagina are available on cable Sunday night, but they come at a price. You have to watch a bloody, hairy baby burst through that vagina, and before that you have to watch the little creature in utero, growing in all its Operation Rescue propaganda detail, in the National Geographic Channel's latest unveiling of the hideous miracle of life. "In the Womb" is actually a cool, beautiful movie, a celebration of computer imaging and the 4-D ultrasound. It exhibits a minimum of politics, probably because it appears to have been made in England, where the acknowledgement that...

Visual effects specialists Artem have completed work on a groundbreaking two-part special that explores the journey from conception to birth from the human foetus’ point of view. To be broadcast as 'Life Before Birth' on Channel 4 (featuring poetry from Roger McGeogh) in March and as 'In The Womb' on National Geographic in April, the special follows the bewildering transformation of a fertilised egg on its way to becoming an individual person. Advances in 3D scanning have revealed that the behaviour of the growing foetus is much more complex and advanced than ever previously imagined. During its nine-month gestation, it...
