Secret Service agents protecting President Joe Biden’s granddaughter opened fire after three people tried to break into an unmarked Secret Service vehicle in the nation’s capital, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press. The agents, assigned to protect Naomi Biden, were out with her in the Georgetown neighborhood late Sunday night when they saw the three people breaking a window of the parked and unoccupied SUV, the official said. Three Philadelphia police SWAT officers were shot while serving a homicide warrant at a home early Wednesday and a 19-year-old inside that home was killed in the exchange of gunfire. The shootout played out in a home along North 10th Street, near Brown Street in North Philadelphia's Poplar section just after 6 a.m., Philadelphia police said. Police officers and vehicles could be seen throughout the area.

hree teens are dead after an alleged home invasion attempt reportedly ended in a shooting Monday. It happened near 91st and 241st East Avenue in the Wagoner County part of Broken Arrow. According to officials with the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office, three masked people broke into the house through the back door with the intent of burglarizing the home. Officials say the homeowner's young adult son killed all three with an AR-15. Though they initially believed the son was 19, they now say he was 23-year-old Zach Peters. The woman who was shot and killed Thursday night in her south Sacramento home was with her husband and two children when shots were fired into their house. CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - An employee who works at a popular brewery in Coral Springs was seriously injured Sunday after he tried breaking up a fight between patrons and a waiter, police said. Coral Springs police were called to Big Bear Brewing Company, 1800 N. University Drive, after receiving multiple 911 calls from employees who feared for their lives. Police arrested Claude Galland, 29, and Michael Laguerre, 29, on complaints of aggravated battery and disorderly conduct after witnesses alleged the men assaulted a restaurant employee.

A San Diego man may be the latest victim of “knockout,” a disturbing new activity spreading across the country involving teens or young adults physically assaulting unsuspecting strangers. Victoria Hyatt says her husband was attacked in such a way by a stranger in downtown San Diego on Tuesday. As her husband waited to cross the intersection at 2nd Avenue and Ash Street, Hyatt says a man walked up beside her husband and then, out of nowhere, punched her husband in the face.

On Wednesday, an enthusiastic Obama supporter protesting Mitt Romney near Cleveland, Ohio, explained why she is voting for the president. “Everybody in Cleveland, low minorities, got Obama phone.
