“It’s a year or two from now” and here’s what we see: explosions at Pearl Harbor and nearby Hickam Air Force Base, a drone attack at Naval Base San Diego, the collision of a Chinese-crewed fishing vessel with a US oil tanker departing Hawaii for the Western Pacific. Meanwhile, “the People’s Liberation Army is ashore on Taiwan in large numbers.” Its internet and other communications down, Taiwan is cut off from the world. The US government is caught flat-footed. The Marines never make it to Taiwan and US Navy ships on their way from Singapore, Guam and even West Coast...

The “inexperienced” armorer in charge of weapons on set of Alec Baldwin’s movie “Rust” had given a gun to an 11-year-old actress without checking properly for safety, a report said. Hannah Gutierrez Reed, 24, daughter of prominent Hollywood armorer Thell Reed, was head armorer on set in Santa Fe where Baldwin fired a prop gun loaded with a live round, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza. Gutierrez-Reed’s alleged misstep happened on the set of the upcoming Nicholas Cage film, “The Old Way” and temporarily halted filming, sources told The Daily Beast. “She was reloading the gun on...

Mo’Nique and her husband/manager Sidney Hicks, as they say on the street, certainly have a “hard on” for Oprah Winfrey. Yep, in a podcast/video posted to YouTube, they came for Oprah … again because they didn’t approve of her interviewing Michael Jackson‘s accusers. They went in on Oprah regarding her interview with Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who both claim Jackson touched them inappropriately when they were young boys they appeared in the HBO documentary, “Leaving Neverland“ that aired this week. “Here’s a man that was found not guilty in the eyes of the law,” Mo’nique said, referring to the...

The ratings for Sunday night’s telecast of the 90th annual Academy Awards collapsed by a whopping 16 percent, which would mean an all-time low, according to early estimates. Variety reports that the “8 p.m.-11 p.m. portion of ABC’s telecast averaged an 18.9 household rating and 32 share in Nielsen’s metered market overnight ratings … That’s down about 16% from the 22.5/37 rating generated by the 2017 Oscars.” According to Deadline, the “18.9 appears to be an all-time low for the Oscars, below the previous low ratings point for the Oscars, logged with the 2008 telecast (21.9).” The ratings will be...

Good action movie. Good plot that is coherent and makes sense. The cinematography makes Arizona and Mexico devoid of anything green. I mean trees, shrubs and grass etc. Adding to a haunting feeling. All the vegetation I saw was brown. The Juarez scenes make Juarez look like a pit of hell/ I liked the lack of over acting. I am not a fan of Benecio Del Torro but he does very well here. Josh Brolin does well. Emily Blunt is OK. Ten other actresses could have done just as well. The supporting actors were credible. The assault using night vision...

Liberal elitist Hollywood Actor Jim Carrey, who enjoys the protection of an armed bodyguard, thought it would be hilarious to make fun of gun owners in a video he published yesterday (in mature fashion, Carrey posted the video on a college site). Oh, you didn't laugh? Neither did I. Allapundit summed it up best:Despite his cheap, stupid nastiness towards gun-rights supporters on Twitter, I figured this would be worth a few laughs. And it was — for 10 seconds, during the “Sam Elliott” cameo, which is mainly a sight gag. As for the song, it’s neither funny nor biting. It’s...

Actress Ellen Barkin was really unhappy with the New York Police Department early on New Year’s Day, tweeting she was shoved (or jostled) on the street. But for politicos, this was the most eye-opening tweet: “this will be nothing if Obama loses the election. A police state will be just around the corner.” No s**t.#Terrified”

Hoffman accused the Bush administration of "manipulating the grief of the country" after the events of September 11. The president's real motives for going to war are power and oil, he said. He spoke out after receiving a lifetime achievement award at the Empire Film Awards in London. "For me as an American, the most painful aspect of this is that I believe that that administration has taken the events of 9/11 and has manipulated the grief of the country and I think that's reprehensible," he said. "I don't think, like many of us, that the reasons we have been...
