A Southern California homeowner discovered a hidden camera disguised with fake grass on his property — part of a growing trend in which burglars plant covert cameras in yards in the area to monitor homes and track when residents leave... George Nguyen, who is a homeowner in West Covina, California, was watering the hedges in his front yard after dark on Friday (April 25) when he noticed a light coming from one of the bushes. However, when Nguyen investigated further, he discovered that the light was coming from a well-hidden device — with a lens and a green light —...

Last night, we happened to notice at our neighbor's what looked like a surveillance camera red light pointed directly at our patio and bedroom window. If it is, what can be done?

So this happened. I have a hypothesis. Gay people often get away with murder. Certainly behavior that straight men could never get away with. So my producer and I put that to the test. Behaving the exact same way and even repeating the exact same phrases to women at the mall. The only difference? One of us is gay. One straight. The reactions are, well... entirely expected. You're welcome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngATnQFL-FQ

This video is pretty self-explanatory. People are incredibly tolerant of any form of self-identification nowadays. We dare not ask questions. Also, little rat-dogs are allowed in food establishments. Who knew? But what if a 90lbs Dogo Argentino identifies as a lap-dog? What are the rules then? Hilarity ensues... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFwVjPrN2MM

If you’re a leftist who believes other leftists, it’s probable you think guns (even fully automatic ones) can easily be purchased without a background check. You hold this notion for a simple reason: your leftist leaders in political circles reaching as high as the White House, say such silly things as “Guns are easier to buy than books.†A myth which is as true as receiving a college scholarship from the tooth fairy. To prove how wrong leftists are about guns, we took a hidden camera to gun shows and gun dealers. We tried weaseling through the “gun show loopholeâ€...

video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJdmLu18Vzk I'm sure you heard the controversy this last week. A man who wishes to be a woman used the ladies changing room at Planet Fitness. Planet Fitness kicked out the woman who complained. Such tolerance. I decided to put that "tolerance" to the test. So I changed my gender and joined Planet Fitness!

On Tuesday, Slate and everyone else posted a video of a woman who is harassed more than 100 times by men as she walks around New York City for ten hours. More specifically, it’s a video of a young white woman who is harassed by mostly black and Latino men as she walks around New York City for ten hours. The one dude who turns around and says, “Nice,” is white, but the guys who do the most egregious things—like the one who harangues her, “Somebody’s acknowledging you for being beautiful! You should say thank you more,” or the one who follows her down the street too closely for five whole minutes—are not.

Today's high-end televisions are almost all equipped with "smart" PC-like features, including Internet connectivity, apps, microphones and cameras. But a recently discovered security hole in some Samsung Smart TVs shows that many of those bells and whistles aren't ready for prime time. The flaws in Samsung Smart TVs, which have now been patched, enabled hackers to remotely turn on the TVs' built-in cameras without leaving any trace of it on the screen. While you're watching TV, a hacker anywhere around the world could have been watching you. Hackers also could have easily rerouted an unsuspecting user to a malicious website...

A Grand Junction man who prosecutors said stalked random women at a grocery store and used a camera mounted on his shoe to surreptitiously film up their skirts, or while they used the toilet, was sentenced Monday to serve two years in the Mesa County Jail. Joshua Cheyenne Vohs, 34, who was described by his own attorney as a “high-tech Peeping Tom,” received the maximum sentence available to a visibly angry Mesa County Court Judge Craig Henderson, who suggested a state prison sentence would have been more appropriate had the option been there. “Short of actual penetration, this was...

At 10:20 in, Romney thinks he's no longer being recorded and gradually flies off the handle in an off-air conversation with the host. Here you can see the true temper behind the corporate raiding "buyout baron." The link will open the video at exactly the right moment, no need to use the slider. I recall another freeper said he/she had a friend who worked for Mitt Romney once and said he was the meanest man she'd ever met. Please reply to confirm the details of that if the freeper who wrote that several weeks ago is reading this.

A California man placed a hidden camera inside a Starbucks bathroom and filmed dozens of unsuspecting women and children, according to police. The camera was disguised as a coat hook and affixed to a wall adjacent to a toilet for two days last month. William Zafra Velasco, 25, was arrested earlier this month by Glendora Police Department officers, who executed search warrants at the San Dimas home of the unemployed student. Detectives examining Velasco’s computers discovered “disturbing video of at least 45 female victims using the restroom, including children,” according to investigators. Velasco, pictured in the above mug shot, was...

Friend - With Congress's August recess now under way, Republican members of Congress are starting to show up at Tea Party events and campaign rallies all over the country. We saw last year during the fight for health reform that this is a time when the extremists run rampant. Remember "death panels?" This year, Republicans are looking to have it both ways, trying to appeal to independent voters while making promises to the Tea Party crowd to pursue an extreme right-wing agenda if they regain control of Congress. Who knows what's being said when the cameras aren't running? We don't...

For the second time in two weeks, a man is suspected of taking cell phone photographs under women's dresses at a Northwest Side Wal-Mart. Martin Matthew Hemby, 20, was released from Bexar County Jail around 6 p.m. Wednesday after posting $5,000 bail. He faces one charge of improper photography. This is the second time San Antonio police have arrested Hemby on suspicion of taking improper photographs at a Wal-Mart Supercenter in the 1600 block of Vance Jackson Road — on July 23, Hemby was arrested, then released the next day after posting $10,000 bail. Hemby's most recent arrest is related...

The system that Lower Merion school officials used to track lost and stolen laptops wound up secretly capturing thousands of images, including photographs of students in their homes, Web sites they visited, and excerpts of their online chats, says a new motion filed in a suit against the district. More than once, the motion asserts, the camera on Robbins' school-issued laptop took photos of Robbins as he slept in his bed. Each time, it fired the images off to network servers at the school district. Back at district offices, the Robbins motion says, employees with access to the images marveled...

This investigation into the remote spying allegedly being conducted against students at Lower Merion represents an attempt to find proof of spying and a look into the toolchain used to accomplish spying. Taking a look at the LMSD Staff List, Mike Perbix is listed as a Network Tech at LMSD. Mr. Perbix has a large online web forum footprint as well as a personal blog, and a lot of his posts, attributed to his role at Lower Merion, provide insight into the tools, methods, and capabilities deployed against students at LMSD. Of the three network techs employed at LMSD, Mr....

A suburban Philadelphia school district used school-issued laptop webcams to spy on students at home, potentially catching them and their families in compromising situations, a family claims in a federal lawsuit. Lower Merion School District officials can activate the webcams without students' knowledge or permission, the suit said. Plaintiffs Michael and Holly Robbins suspect the cameras captured students and family members as they undressed and in other embarrassing situations, according to the suit. * * * The Robbinses said they learned of the alleged webcam images when Lindy Matsko, an assistant principal at Harriton High School, told their son that...

An East High freshman faces expulsion for something the district says never should have happened. Monday Charles Rogers discovered a camera in the foyer of the boy’s bathroom. "The camera there period surprised me. It was a little spy camera, I didn't think anything like that was in the bathroom. I didn't think it was the schools, I thought it was a perverted janitor," Charles said. He took the camera. He says it was in a little hole in the ceiling tile. He also took the receiver which was in the schools auditorium. "It looked like an irregular setup. It...
